A aimé We had an amazing weekend at the Roundoak Farm. Splendid surroundings and plenty of animals roaming. We will definitely come back.

A aimé Fabulous location fabulous owners in Norman and Ruth very welcoming,great facilities, a tour of the farms with Rosie is a must she is so dedicated and very keen to explain the animals and workings of the farm a visit here is a must

A aimé This site is not for everyone. If you like to play music, like kids around playing and cycling, if you like a bar then this is not for you. If you appreciate quiet, lots of space, beautiful views, spotless facilities then like me, you’ll love Roundoak Farm. The owner showed us around on arrival and then just left us to it apart from smiles and waves as we came and went. This is a working farm but we were never woken in the mornings by farming activities nor did it go late into the evenings. In short, this was exactly what we’d hoped it would be. We will definitely be going back.

N'a pas aimé I can usually find the odd little niggle to mention here, but to be honest I cannot think of a single thing that we disliked, though, maybe the lack of WiFi in 2025 is a decision I don’t understand, but that is all. Well done Ruth and Norman, you have a fabulous product and we’d love to visit again.

May be we need to think of not having wi fi as a plus
and away of getting away from it all.
It is an interesting concept in a world trying to get away but still wanting to stay in touch!
I think we want to create a peaceful haven away and engaginging with our animals and nature

A aimé What a friendly and very helpful campsite. Set in a beautiful location with a lovely village pub a short walk away. The facilities were spot on, if a little unconventional. My partner needed to stay on unexpextedly, and they couldn't have been more supportive. Fabulous place! If we head to France again, we will definitely stop off there again.

A aimé Stunning scenery, and beautiful grounds, flat camping plots which these days seems quite unusual. Some lovely walks on site and locally, and the owners were friendly, helpful and had put together an excellent document pack.

N'a pas aimé When we arrived, we were shown the facilities, including where to shower and do the washing up. We followed these guidelines and were asked not to use these facilities as it meant staff were unable to wash their hands after using the toilets despite there being 2 basins. We were asked to use some different facilities, which were not overly pleasant, with the shower being cold and there being maggots in the shower tray.

On the back of one of the toilet doors it said we could hire fire pits and BBQs but when we asked we were told they did not allow this.

It was advertised as an adult only site, but there were young family members of the owners running around the site for the entire duration of our stay.

Also on the Saturday night there was a disagreement between the owner and what appeared to be a contractor which was extremely loud and aggressive and could be heard at the far end of the camping plots. This was rather unsettling and did not leave us feeling chilled and relaxed which was the point of our stay. We understand this may not have been the owners fault, but it could've been dealt with somewhere more private and not in front of everyone.

This was also the only site that we have stayed at through pitch up that requested we pay by cash, all others have taken the money a week before the stay online. This meant we had to go in search of a cash machine locally which we couldn't find, but took up time that we didn't really want to spend.

that is not for washing and showering!!!!
If you were not happy why the hell did you not say something-sums you up as people.
with regard to the confrontation I am sorry about that it was unfortunate with a contractor.
How dare you complain about my Grandchildren
they are always well behaved and the two boys were camping in my woods
at the time you are referring to the boys were having tea with me!

With regard to payment
we don’t have a card machine but if you had asked we could have given you bank details so you could transfer the money
Oh by the way if i am correct you were the campervan opposite my house you had guests that you did not pay for!!!
This review was unfair and unreasonable
Again I cannot believe you did not come and see Ruth or myself
I do recall we did come and see you after the confrontation to apologise
you passed the comment

A aimé Everyone so lovely and helpful.

The site was clean and tidy.

You have use of showers, toilets, sinks, washing maching!! a dishwasher and a coffee machine!.

It was peaceful we had Higland baby cows and Sussex cows in the next field to us also an Irish moiled I think, we had guineafowl running around, with Ducks and geese.
Guy showed us the pig with the piglets and they really care for any poorly animals and do everything for them.

If you are looking for a peaceful chilled out camping experience this is the place to go.

A aimé Quiet and simple. It is a working farm with sheep, cows and guineafowl. Clean showers and toilets. If you are taking a dog, make sure it is not reactive to other animals as there are ducks, geese and guineafowl roaming. Large grass pitches.
