The Riverfront

A aimé Everything! Gorgeous site, immaculately clean. Peaceful and oh my word; the toilets!!! It was so lovely having a shower that didnt switch off every 8 seconds! This is definitely the most luxurious campsite we have stayed on to date.

N'a pas aimé The fact we had only booked this site for 1 night! Definitely going to plan a trip back up for a couple of nights.

A aimé Everything about the campsite. Pitches were very smart with water on tap. Lovely location with it being a 3 to 4 mile walk into York. The toilet and shower facilities are excellent. It’s a pity the Bosun’s Restaurant wasn’t open (Thursday to Sunday) but we’ll give that a go next time around. The general upkeep of the entire site is amazing and a credit to all associated with its management and organisation.

N'a pas aimé If I had to be picky it would be the height of the clothing pegs in the shower cubicle.

A aimé Small and well laid out site by the river.
Very good facilities and lots of water taps.
Cafe and seating pods by the river are great.
Chip shop in the village was very good.
Easy access to Park and Ride for York.

N'a pas aimé Bosun’s restaurant and bar only opens from Thursday to Sunday, not good for the weekday visitors.
No food at pubs in the village on a Monday and Tuesday.
Arrival was self-service from e-mail info, missed that personal touch.

A aimé We loved the Riverfront. Site very clean and tidy. Excellent location being next to the river. Facilities great,cafe serving lovely food,restaurant again serving lovely food.
Showers spotlessly clean.
Village just a short walk away.
Would definitely recommend.

N'a pas aimé Although showers very clean,lacked hanging space. Need small stool to sit on when dressing. Not everyone is able to balance when putting clothes on .
Would have been nice to have had the restaurant open during the week if only for a drink and admire the lovely view.

A aimé Loved everything. The site is beautiful and the toilets are the best and cleanest I've ever seen. Loved the coffee from the wee hut and had a great couple off pints from the restaurant sitting on the balcony watching the boats pass by. Lovely walks next time I'll bring my wee dogs.

A aimé Beautiful site, well maintained. Toilets and showers are immaculate, the best I have ever used. Within walking distance of York or there is a bus stop at the top of the road.would definitely stay here again

A aimé Beautiful setting, very clean and tidy.
Very Peaceful.
Short ride via bus or taxi into York.
A few pubs & shops a short walk away.

Lots of activities on site, but we didn’t use any of the on site amenities.

A aimé The site is beautifully kept, very very clean.
I loved the washrooms, the water was really warm and it was so clean.
We took a return journey on the boat into York which was lovely.
It’s approximately an hour and 15 mins walk into York but it’s a very Pleasant walk.

N'a pas aimé Maybe a few more sinks to do the dishes, there’s only one sink.

Conversation outside and we are a middle age couple about a family member who had recently past and he asked us to talk quiter this was at 7.20 pm we were not noisy
