Pitching up by a pub – that’s always a fine idea. Settle in for a tasty dinner, and as many drinks as you wish, then simply stroll across the garden to get to your bed without any worries over who’s going to drive. And it’s an even finer idea if the pub in question is a cosy, friendly place like the Providence Inn in the village of Yedingham, around a 15-minute drive from Malton. There’s a cheery Yorkshire welcome for all guests here, be they families, groups, couples or single travellers – the folk on site just request that all visitors respect each other (and the neighbours) by keeping the hubbub down after midnight. (Please do note that there is likely to be a bit of noise from the pub/beer garden in the evenings though – such is the way with pubs…) Life here is pretty relaxed and informal – guests can pick their pitches, and are welcome to light up barbecues or build fires in firepits (as long as they're kept off the grass). Along with basic bathroom facilities (cleaned twice daily), there’s access to the River Derwent for those who’ve brought along a fishing licence and asked permission. Pike are the most likely catch, but there have been sightings of other slippery species around here too. And so to dinner… home-cooked food is served seven days a week in the pub (you're advised to book in advance for meals, and take note that on Sundays, the kitchen closes at 5pm), and it gets a thumbs up from the locals, who have been known to drive a considerable number of miles to get their dinner here. There’s a good-sized beer garden for alfresco drinks on fine days, and a generous play area to keep kids entertained while the grownups nurse their drinks nearby.

A aimé Lovely peaceful site with helpfull friendly staff ,the site has everything you need on site,clean toilets and shower a good pot washing area with hot water, play park for the children, a pleasurable camping experience for my 9 year old his first time camping, even though all amenities are on site like electric hook up pitches and pub food it was good for the self sufficient camping feel if you bring your own food or barbecue on the none electric pitches ,would recommend this site and will be returning in the future

N'a pas aimé Moody Brian maybes shouldn’t of been next door to the autistic boys in the very far corner of the football pitch im sorry if our bbq upset any folk (not sorry to moody Brian ) we had a fantastic time food was delicious staff very accommodating lovely place thanks guys top job xx

A aimé Great location, camped here mainly while away with work. Not many obstructions to the West of the site so plenty of sun till late.
Had the most amazing Steak and Ale Pie, ranks amongst the best I have ever had.

N'a pas aimé Not the pubs fault but the people who were adjacent to me stayed up till 01:30 and were very noisy, had a fire pit on and kept shing torches at my tent keeping me awake. The site was quite busy and for some reason on the only facility to get a wash/shower had the door wedged open. Luckily I had the facility to get a wash and change when I got to work.

Not a dislike but a comment, £20 gets a pitch for up to 6 people, not very good value for a solo camper with a one person tent.

A aimé I liked how there was a big field with electrical hook up.
The people at the pub were friendly and accommodating. The park was great for the kids.
That there was a disabled toilet and shower.

N'a pas aimé That there was only 2 toilets for ladies and 2 for me , 1 shower and one disabled shower for the whole camp.
We had to walk quite a distance to the toilet block, it might be an idea to build a toilet block down on the field.

A aimé Food area is very nice plenty of tables in and outside, Food was nice showers and toilet facilities are clean and tidy and dogs are very welcomed in or out very nice views over looking fields .and not to noisy with play area

EHU and non available, two different areas.
We stayed NEHU, open area pitch wherever. Gorgeous views and a beautiful sunset! Very clean facilities. Pub on site - great beer garden, fantastic food and lovely staff. Would absolutely return!

N'a pas aimé I wish it was closer to me to come more often lol
Great location with plenty of attractions nearby too.
