Feather Down - Heydon Grove

Most of Heydon Grove’s guests make a beeline for the coast before too long – and there are plenty of great spots to choose from. Try Cromer for seafood and a classic pier, Sheringham for a steam railway and rockpools or Blakeney for seal-spotting boat trips (all about half an hour’s drive). A little further along the coast you could also check out the colourful beach huts of Wells-next-the-Sea (40 minutes) or the sweeping sands of Holkham (45 minutes). Don’t ignore the inland attractions though – a 15-minute drive will get you to the gorgeous grounds of Blickling Hall or to meet the horses of Redwings Aylsham. Norwich (half an hour) is worth a trip too, to see the cathedral and castle and take a walk along the banks of the Wensum River. If you've got kids (or indeed grownups) who are fascinated by flight, stop in at City of Norwich Aviation Museum (25 minutes) too.
