Fans of animal antics, step this way… stay at award-winning Elmwicke Campsite and you'll be on a working farm surrounded by a flock of Jacob sheep, a herd of rare-breed Gloucester cattle, and the Pygmy goats Mabel and Martha, plus Bacon the pig. As you can probably tell, this spot in the Severn Vale is a proper rural retreat, with fabulous views of the Malverns and Bredon Hill to boost your Gloucestershire break. Site owners (and carers to all those animals) Jon and Ruth opened up the site in 2012; they're fourth-generation farmers and you’ll see them at some point during your stay, whether that’s welcoming you in, delivering wood, cleaning the facilities or having a good old natter. The campsite is a seven-acre flat field where you can choose your own pitch, and camp together if you’re with friends or family. There’s plenty of space for games of cricket, rugby, football, rounders or flying kites, and the owners are more than happy to take guests on a tractor-trailer ride around the fields to visit the animals. Alongside men’s and women’s loos, the amenities block also has showers and a family room with baby-changing facilities. To help you with keeping everybody clean and tidy, there’s also a laundry area with a washing machine. An on-site café is open for breakfast rolls, pastries and fresh coffee to get you going in the morning, and on some nights you can eat at the pop-up restaurant that's run by a fab local caterer. If you’d rather be self-sufficient, barbecues are allowed on site, and you can order meat packs from the farm, as well as hiring firepits and buying bags of wood, which are delivered daily.

Les visiteurs louent le camping Elmwicke pour ses terrains spacieux et plats, ses installations impeccables et ses propriétaires exceptionnellement amicaux et serviables, Ruth et Jonathan. Le site offre une atmosphère paisible. Le café sur place servant des sandwichs au petit-déjeuner est un plus. Les familles apprécient le grand champ ouvert pour les enfants. Malgré un peu de bruit de la M5, les commentaires sont excellents, plusieurs souhaitant revenir.

A aimé Brilliant campsite close to M5. Great facilities including WiFi, free washing machine, clean toilets with nice soap and towels, washing up with washing up liquid provided and a cafe for breakfast. Excellent stay and one to remember.

A aimé We had a wonderful time. The team were very friendly and helpful. The cafe was great, I would recommend the coffee. The showers and toilets were very clean. Also great kitchen was very well set out.

Facilities always clean, tidy & well stocked.
Loads of space, beautiful setting. Will definitely revisit.
Little shop for drinks & ice creams. Breakfast baps (made to order)

A aimé We had two electric hook up pitches. One for us and the other for our daughter, husband and 2 year old. The site was clean with plenty of space. We couldn't fault the facilities, apart from the showers being a bit too hot which was mentioned to the owners who then gave us a solution. It could do with a children play area but not a big deal. Location was close to the places we visited. We would definitely gone back.
