A aimé Very tidy and big pitches! Clean facilities, everything you need including kettle etc! Easily accessible and unlike other campsites we’ve been to there isn’t a long list of strict rules! Stones and bricks on side for bbqs and we did love the goats, was lovely to go up and say hello!

N'a pas aimé I would agree with another review that the footpath closest to the campsite (left up the hill) is not kept at all and isn’t walkable but that’s not the campsites fault obviously just a heads up, there is another around 10min walk past the 1st which goes past the old quarry and into Eyre which was a good walk!

A aimé Me and my partner have never been camping before and bought a tent on the Thursday and booked this for the Saturday. As we have nothing to compare it to, we are not entirely sure what “camping standards” are but this campsite was brilliant. The scenery stretched for miles around and with clear skies and sun, it was a treat to look at. Everyone was nicely spaced out and we didn’t feel like we were on top of eachother, which was a worry we had after booking. I reccomend to anyone who loves a good view, however, don’t recommend having a massive pub dinner before walking back up that steep hill to the site, a few pints will do instead! Haha ( we nearly didn’t make it)

the views were incredible, pitches were generous and generally easy to find a flat spot.

Didn’t realise it had toilet and shower as well as a fridge and washing up as well as a little coffee section!

we will definitely be returning.

A aimé Loved it took my 2 lads amazing views. Even little toilet block with a shower . Even a kettle .

N'a pas aimé Approach is narrow and very very steep. Also the local footpaths are very overgrown I know it’s not the owners fault but if you are travelling with a dog it is something you need to be aware of

It’s true, the hill is very steep which is why we benefit from the views. There is an alternative route around to avoid the hill which is easily accessible on Google maps (or we’re happy to take a call and guide you). The Peak Park like to keep things as natural as possible so at this time of year when the grass is long some footpaths may be a bit wilder than others.

A aimé Great location, nice facilities, super easy to book (even though we only planned day of!) . Made for a really relaxing night, and we enjoyed going down to Stoney Middleton for some tea x
Be prepared for a steep drive up to the site !!

The hill is extremely steep! There is alternative way around to the site adding an extra 5/10 minutes depending which way you’re coming from. Happy to give directions if you want to visit again :-)

A aimé Nice ground to pitch on. Relatively flar pitch. Pegs went into ground 3/4's by hand before hitting bedrock. Pitches numbered on fence line showing clear position. Nice and open. Kettle, fridges and washing up facilities. The view from the site was mega, beautiful to wake up to! Reasonably local to pub/chippy. All in all we had a mega stay, it met our needs and we'd happily come again!

N'a pas aimé All negatives should be taken with the caveat that it's clearly a new site, developing things as they go, so there's no intention to moan unnecessarily here. Purely adding for constructive feedback purposes. The main issue was not many toilet/shower facilities. Showers suffer badly from water pressure issues so pick your shower time carefully.
Hand drying towel in toilets not preferred, so just avoided.
We arrived very late, but texted on arrival and recieved no messages back - this was fine, we just pitched up in a free spot. If you're looking for "high quality" comfortable camping then this might not be for you.

It’s true, that water pressure is very low sometimes due to it having to travel up the hill and especially when the cabin is in higher usage.
I think I must have missed your message due to being it bed, but appreciated you texting as we always check them.
We might have some paper towels in place next time if that’s people’s preference but will see how things go this season :-)

A aimé As advertised, spotlessly clean facilities, lovely hot water with good pressure, even though the water has to come up the hill 😂. Appreciated the covered cooking area and the use of the fridges to keep things nice and cool. The pitches were nice and flat, clearly spaced out with numbers between the pitches. Will definitely be back. Thanks
