A aimé A fantastic site - Wayne is very accommodating and helpful. The site had a super friendly feel about. Would 100% visit again and highly recommended. No WiFi but signal was fine. Saw some reviews where people moaned about the lane. I took a motorhome in and the lane was plenty wide enough with lots of passing places. Just be sure to come in from the right side. Call the site and ask if there’s any worry - Wayne’s so friendly I’m sure he won’t mind you asking ahead.

A aimé Big generous pitch. No issues with the electric. Plenty of water stations. All staff I met were very friendly. Onsite shop was good. We went on Festival weekend as festival goers. They put on a coach service which was useful as it was out of the way for the festival. Views from pitch were stunning.

N'a pas aimé Bathroom block was disgusting. The showers were on a push button and lasted about 30 seconds - so annoying as a woman when washing hair. Chemical waste room disgusting. Beach is not for beach goers - appreciate this is not the sites problem but we were looking forward to a nice beach day and that wouldn't be possible here.

A aimé Loved this place - an excellent family get away. We went Bank Holiday weekend when it was really hot and fully booked and the place still didn’t feel overcrowded or too busy. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The whole site (and its massive) was very clean.

N'a pas aimé The shower block was amazing but I hate when they are on a button which only give maybe a minute of water. Nightmare when soap in eyes from washing hair. WiFi needs an upgrade it is free WiFi but doesn’t work well at all. However does work fine in the bar area so you aren’t completely isolated. Dislikes 100% did not impact on stay overall as it was fab.

A aimé Landlord very friendly Site had a good feel Pub was nice - food looked good Great location for 3 Peaks and walking Lovely area Great pub garden with facilities for kids Private River access owned by pub Some great evening music from pub that finished early Could have great vibe for the younger campers, not wanting to shut up at 10 til 8 in morning like most sites....however....there's limits Great to see a business busy in todays climate but short term gains could affect return rate.

N'a pas aimé Before you 100% judge my review as all negative - to be fair to the owners it was clear this is a new venture for them - they seem to have all elements to do well & provide an ace campsite they just need to maybe be less about the instant money and more about the long term venture. I would look at staying again but would look at whether there were a few more facilities and less people due the weekend I returned. - 1 toilet (although could use toilets in pub 7:30 in morning until close) and 1 shower (unisex) for whole campsite - at a very conservative estimate there were 200/300 people onsite while we were there - The shower was blocked all weekend, so you had to stand in water that came up to ankles while showering - while other peoples hair and scum floated around in it - Huge amounts of tents and motorhomes on site (pitchup allows 88 - and you could not fit another person in - Very noisy - Very limited facilities given how many onsite - Felt like I was at a festival not quiet campsite retreat - Had to maneuver my camper out very carefully as so many cars, tents and campers around me - Footballs kicked into car & lots of kids running around until late - Dogs barking all day and night - because were being disturbed constantly by all noise and movement etc - Kids playing knock and run on camper at 11 at night - ok funny but not what I went for - Price was not reflective of facilities available Pick a route - either fun loud site to have a party or quiet place to stay. Nothing wrong with either but need to let people know what they are getting themselves into.
