A aimé Beautiful and peaceful surroundings. A lovely rural setting with plenty of potential. The location itself is very pleasant and makes for a relaxing stay. The site has the foundations of what could be a really enjoyable place to stay.

N'a pas aimé The toilet and shower facilities are quite dated and would benefit from refurbishment. TV signal was poor during our stay. The on-site Wi-Fi was very poor and, at times, didn't work at all. Our main concern was the way an issue regarding charging our hybrid car was handled. I was charging my hybrid car, which has a relatively small battery capacity. I always check the terms and conditions of every site before doing this, as I fully understand that some sites specifically prohibit EV or hybrid charging. Having checked the terms and conditions before our stay, I could not find anything stating that vehicle charging was not permitted. At around 9pm on our first evening, the site owner came to our caravan and demanded that I come outside immediately. When I did, his approach was very aggressive and included foul language. I explained that I had checked the terms and conditions and that there was no mention of charging vehicles being prohibited. Had there been a clear rule stating that charging wasn't permitted, I would have respected it without question. Equally, if I had simply been politely asked to stop charging, I would have had no issue doing so. Unfortunately, the way the situation was handled left both myself and my partner feeling uncomfortable and on edge for the remainder of our stay. It's a real shame, as the beautiful surroundings could make this a lovely site, but the experience with the owner significantly affected our overall impression.

A aimé Lovely site situated next to the canal and close to main roads without traffic noise. Toilets and showers were well maintained and modern. The touch of having radio playing was also nice avoids having to listen to other noises whilst using the facilities. Pitches are a good size and the hard standing isn't too hard making it difficult for pegs to go in.

N'a pas aimé The location of the toilet block isn't great. It is central to the caravan pitches but this site offers Camping and has some holiday huts so it means there's a steady stream of people wanting to use these facilities so people are often walking past the caravan. It wasn't hugely busy when we stayed so I imagine if the camping was full it would feel like a slight Invasion of privacy.

A aimé Amazing views from field 3. Owners very friendly and kind. Shower and toilet facilities are luxury and the price is great.

N'a pas aimé The hardstand pitch was thick in soft stone so getting pegs in for awning was hard, had to scoop down to try and find more solid ground. The water / electricity point was rather far from the pitch, electric cable was long enough but hose wasn't.

A aimé Really quiet site close to the centre or park and rides. Site surrounded by trees!

N'a pas aimé toilets / showers. 3 male and 4 female. They were also fairly cold even given the time of year.

A aimé Really nice site in a great location. Lots of water and chemical waste disposal points. The grounds are beautiful and really well maintained. Toilets and showers were very clean and nice hot water in the shower. We didn't try the cafe or food but the pizzas that we say being taken away looked lovely.

N'a pas aimé Pool - the pool area is looking quite tired and dated so some investment here is needed. I would also like to see maybe the first hour or last hour of the pool opening times to be for adults only who actually want to swim. The pool is full of children playing which is nice to see but means those who want to swim can't. A couple of site rules didn't seem to be enforced mainly cars on pitches and quiet hours past 10pm. I personally don't mind noise until 10:30pm but if you have site rules they need to be enforced otherwise it's pointless having them.
