Spotless showers and toilets. Nice spacious field to set up your tent. Very friendly man and woman who are there if you need anything. And we loved our fire pit. We will definitely be returning

How close it is to local attractions such as peak wildlife park, Alton Towers & Trentham Monkey Forest, there is a hot food van on weekends, shower block is clean and pleasant with music playing, we were allowed a fire pit close to our pitch all staff very helpful and friendly

The pitch sizes were very good. The toilets and showers were kept extremely clean and were well thought out (caddy for toiletries, multiple clothes hooks).
Lorraine could not do enough to help. She was warm and welcoming and told us about the local area, it's amenities, places to visit, pubs etc.
Would definitely recommend staying here!!

I arrived late for check in, I had called ahead but late is late, the lady met me and couldn't have been more lovely. I'd had quite a stressful drive down and she calmed me and welcomed me on to the camp. I requested to be upgraded to EHU as I hadn't booked for this which she let me and asked for me to check in the morning if it would still be available for the next day (which is was).
The toilet/shower block was clean and very well done, it's in the centre of the camp so easily accessible for everyone.
The camp itself was clean, quiet and very well looked after, as a first time solo female traveller I felt very comfortable and safe on the camp.
Just outside of the bathroom block there are urinals for the men, septic tank and a two sink washing up area with hot running water.
On the second night my children came to join me, there were goal posts in the field which my son made friends and played football within about 5 minutes of arriving. We had an excellent time away!!
There's lots to do in the area but our main attraction was Alton Towers which was literally a 10 minute drive away.

The clue is in the name, the camp is on a hill but it's not too steep but just bare it in mind.

Great campsite!
The lovely people who run this place were so welcoming and chatty and friendly.
There's basic washing up facilities with a nice and tidy bin store and a toilet and shower block which is basic, with 3 showers and 3 toilets in the womens (not sure about the mens) but works very well and always kept clean and tidy. There's also a urinal area for men to use.
There's a breakfast/ burger van that runs on the weekends too.
The owners don't let the site get too crowded either, and you're only allowed to pitch up around the perimeter to ensure that the middle green space is for the children to play in, and it just gives it a nicer atmosphere too. They also have 2 separate sides, 1 for families and another for adults only which is also very good.
You can hire firepits with wood and paper for £10 cash from the reception. The campsite itself is so well kept, and very clean and tidy, and the views are beautiful.
The owners also drive around the campsite every day to take rubbish and firepits from the people leaving that day, and ask everyone how their stay was etc.
I have nothing bad to say about this place. We had a fantastic stay, and we will definitely come again.

Great site with lovely welcome from the owners who explained everything onsite and what’s in the area locally. Pitches are level and toilets/showers are clean with music playing in them.

Woman who owned it was intimidating and rude during our stay, when we arrived she made a comment saying that they weren’t offering us any fire wood, she also said we booked through pitch up, which affects the amount of payment they receive. When I asked for wood and a fire pit the man was nice about it and we had a good conversation. We decided to bring our own firewood aswel as we have been before and felt like we didn’t get enough to last an evening. The woman came over to us and angrily said we’re not allowed to use our own firewood and we should have checked the website when we booked, so I decided to check the website I booked on (pitch up) and it says nothing about bringing your own wood. After I apologised and offered to pay for my wood I was using she then said it might be better for us to go somewhere else next time. Quite disappointing customer service
