Lots of room in our area when we got there, toilets were nice and kept clean

Woman who owned it was intimidating and rude during our stay, when we arrived she made a comment saying that they weren’t offering us any fire wood, she also said we booked through pitch up, which affects the amount of payment they receive. When I asked for wood and a fire pit the man was nice about it and we had a good conversation. We decided to bring our own firewood aswel as we have been before and felt like we didn’t get enough to last an evening. The woman came over to us and angrily said we’re not allowed to use our own firewood and we should have checked the website when we booked, so I decided to check the website I booked on (pitch up) and it says nothing about bringing your own wood. After I apologised and offered to pay for my wood I was using she then said it might be better for us to go somewhere else next time. Quite disappointing customer service

Lovely campsite. Clean toilets, hot showers. Very close to Alton Towers Resort. Very nice owner. Would definitely recommend if you are in the area

Clutching at straws but no phone signal.

The family field was laid out around a sports pitch area so children could roam and be still seen from tent. Fire pit hire was really fun.

Chose this site due to its location to Alton Towers.
Greeted by the owner Lorraine who was really friendly and most helpful. The site was clean and well maintained. Toilets/showers with hair dryer available, washing up area, drinking water taps and chemical waste disposal. Fire pits available to use with paper, sticks and logs included at a price of £10 (cash only). There were multiple goal posts/volleyball nets on the open grass areas which all the kids were loving. Although off a main road there is a walking route at the bottom of the site which I believe is around a quarry.

Booked through Pitchup due to location. It was advertised as having a pub within a few minutes walking distance but this was not the case as it had closed down some time ago. The nearest would be around a 20min walk on busy roads. No great shakes for us tbh but worth noting.

Well set out, plenty of space, footy goals, helpful and informative lady. Fire set up good. Clean toilet facilities.

Fire pit expensive + you have to hire their pit and wood.

Lovely spacious campsite, welcoming, clean facilities, kid friendly. I enjoyed having some phone free time. Would recommend!

Lovely site - loads of space for this children to run around in. And we had loads of space between our group and other pitches so no chance of disturbance. Facilities were great too and it's a fair price. Would recommend to others.

One of our group found that they could hear the music that played in the toilet block, which is 24/7 and it stopped them from sleeping on the first night when they had no ear plugs. So would recommend the music begin turned off at night.

clean toilets and nice hot showers!! Also great that there is a football nets on both sides of the fields

no guides on anywhere to go/ things to do which would have been really helpful as there is no phone signal to figure this out
