Our first camping trip, we went for two nights and I wish all campsites were similar to the Rue Hill! Plenty of space in full capacity, lovely shower block (free showers, big enough to hang all your belongings inside but keep them dry while showering), 20p for hair dryer, washing up station and tap with drinking water, recycling, picnic bench for each tent, park your car next to your pitch, possibility to hire a fire pit… quiet after 10pm. Friendly owners, happy to help. Great base for visiting Peak District/ Alton Towers.

Hosts were helpful and polite
Ground/grass was very well maintained and despite a ton of rain, didnt turn into a muddy marshland.
Toilet facilities were very clean.
Hand washing station was a lovely added extra.
Option to rent firepit and logs for £10

Very near a main road with no path, which limited the walks you could do from the site without needing the car.

Had the best stay here the pitch was massive the showers were clean and the owners had amazing communication and was lovely in general

Came for a stay with my mum, had a great time. The fire pits and picnic tables are a great addition to the site. Lovely well kept area, clean toilets and washing facilities.

We were met with the warmest welcome. Told exactly where everything was on the site and given a map of all the local amenities. The kids loved the play field. The free shower was amazing and the washing up area was so helpful. Cannot wait to stay again.

Absolutely nothing

Lovely site with great facilities. The host was fantastic and shared lots of ideas of things to do nearby. Also great to stop here if you want to visit Alton towers! Will definitely be back! Thanks
