The site was flat and despite the heavy rain the pitching area drained well - important when in a tent!
The toilet block and shower block was clean and hot water in shower. Someone commented about the wash up area. It is outside but there's hot water and is undercover - plus I prefer not to have someone doing their washing up in the next basin inside the toilet block so I see that as a plus.
Grounds are well kept, it's a 20 minute walk to the local village pub and a basic cafe on site that opens at 7am.

Nice camp site but you can't get away from the motorway being very close by - ear plugs sorted that for me but I understand why it's been commented on.

Not a dislike but an observation - read the info you receive, there's a number of site rules, more than most touring site.

Modern facilities

On arrival we weren't given any site info like you normally get with map marked with disposal points etc just a torn scrap of paper with gate code Facilities were upto date & modern but weren't very well maintained. Great showers but extractor wasn't working so ceilings were black & weren't very easy to use. There was no hot water at washing up area & no plug for sink. Friendly staff but not overly helpful.

The ladies in the cafe were very pleasent.

I booked Makins to do some float fishing, however 4 out of the 5 lakes were booked for matches and the only lake I was told I could use was the furthest from the pitches. As a paying guest on the site, some pegs on all the lakes should be set aside. The grass on the pitch was long and therefore very wet, needs cutting. There should be a cut off for guests as at 21.20 people turned up next to us and started pitching a tent banging pegs in and allowing their dogs to roam around. The mens showers although clean have mould on the ceiling.

Not a lot

1.Sight is next to a motor way so good luck enjoying any quiet time.
2. If your bringing a dog there only aloud on the tiny bit of grass they call a camp ground.
3. Staff where extremely rude when we where unawair the dog wasent alound to be walked round the lakes.
4. Washing up area was open to the elements so was lacking in cleanliness.
