It was easy to check in then go and pick your pitch site. It wasn't busy so there was plenty of space and options.
The lake was beautiful to walk by.

Shower and toilet block was clean and plenty of loo roll.

We didn't like how it was next door to the m69 which we didn't realise before booking so was quite loud and hard to sleep.

The toilet/shower block would have been better if it was situated half way between the caravans and camp site because having to walk across the field then through all the caravans in the dark wasn't ideal.

Also found the cafe quite expensive but it was convient

The facilities were great, lovely showers with hot water. The lakes are great. The caffe was good and the tackle shop had great supplies.
Great for fishing, my 8 years old was finishing for the first time and absolutely loved it!

Would be useful to add some food items in the shop. Although we had enough food, we ran out of wine :-).
It is near motorway and next to a road. The cars were quite loud passing by.

Great space between pitches. Hard standing pitches were actually decent gravel. Toilets and shower facilities were fantastic: clean and well kept. The waterfall showerhead was a lovely surprise! Really enjoyed our stay.

Lack of instructions; apparent unavailability of arriving after 5pm

Well-spaced pitches. Lake nearby. Quick reply from owner when we needed to text a late arrival, which wasn’t a problem.

No Wi-Fi. Showers and toilets dirty. No toilet paper. Washing up area dirty. Pitch quite far from hook up point: Had to wheel water tank over to tap, rather than conveniently putting hose into tank to fill up. Check out earlier than other campsites.

Big plots nice and open.
Very good site if you like course fishing.

Only rubbish disposal no recycling.
Shame there was not a route round the lake you could wall the dog, as it's fishing only.

Toilets in good and clean condition,
Big and quite flat field so you can open your tent away from others and don't bother for rolling down at night on mattress.

A lot of rocks under the top soil so every single anchor goes in very hard, close to the motorway so you can hear sound of running cars

Really nice place to take a small break or a holiday, from a tent or caravan to a Lodge with hot tub this site is great for a nice relaxing time.
There are plenty of lakes to walk around or even fish on, there are shower blocks and toilets and also sink areas to wash you food wares in.
I stayed just the 1 night on my own as a sort of test run will for sure be staying here again.
