This site is located across two separate fields. One field (Primrose) is popular with the traveller community and has a large contingent of semi permanent vans. There was an influx of extra vans arrive after the staff finished check in on the Friday night squeezing 2 to a pitch and in our case squeezing a caravan between our pitch and the neighbouring traveller pitch. We had no other problems but it could represent a fire risk and it could feel intimidating to some families.

Only stayed for one night, but really enjoyable. The family were very happy. Definitely stay again.

Pitches were a good size. Site was quiet (until our kids arrived). Primarily caravans on site.

Good location and easy to get to. Nice spacious pitches. No rubbish around on site and the guys on site were friendly and well presented. Asked us how our stay was and if we had any concerns. Toilets were cleaned often.

For the size of site and people staying there could be more showers and a bigger changing area

Could be some more ground rules for families as there were kids driving around on vehicles getting close to personal items. I’m all up for kids having fun but there has to be some rules. Electric hook up was a bit randomly placed and at one point I needed 50m of cable but then managed to get one closer once permanent pitches moved there hookups

Sadly we didn’t get to stay after booking through Pitch-up, even though Gundry’s Farm sent us a confirmation email with info about site & gate codes they rang Saturday morning to cancel booking because Pitch-up had over booked 11 people

The size of the pitches was generous with them arranged around the outside of the field so a nice open area in the middle

Toilets were filthy, no soap, toilet roll was thrown around by another unpleasant visitor unfortunately

Very noisy for young children who may sleep earlier. The staff left by 5 and the front gates were shut but you could still access via a Code - this seemed to me that some unpleasant guests took this as opportunity to behave how they liked an electric motorbikes being ridden around, horns being honked and loud music at 9pm we gave up trying to put our little one to sleep. It was far too noisy - way above anything I would expect from camping! The rules said people to be considerate from 10.30pm but i was not expecting such a loud environment prior to this time.

The organisation was a little haphazard - when we arrived we were told it was overbooked so we were going to have to share our pitch with another tent. We agreed to this but were disappointed. We set our tent and vehicle up right on the edge of the pitch to allow the second tent enough room to then be told it was a mistake and the pitch is all ours. Slightly frustrating after putting everything together and setting up.

For the above reason u don’t believe it is good value for money and I wouldn’t plan to returning

We loved the space available, the generous pitches and large fields meant that we had a lot of space to ourselves and the privacy that comes with that. Access was easy and we were immediately met by a member of staff to take our details, show us around and help us out. The toilet block was clean and well appointed and there was freely available hot water. We appreciated being able to bring our dog and that all dogs on the site were on leads. The location was lovely, surrounded by trees and in close proximity to lots of walks.
