A aimé Every thing , stubby the guy that owns the place is amazing and his wife , unfortunately didn’t get her name . Pizza cooked to order on site then brought to my van as I didn’t hear the bell . The whole place is rustic handmade and very clean . Hot showers either good pressure . A fire at the communal area . Honestly couldn’t fault the place . And I will definitely be going back

A aimé Good location. Good facilities, warm host. Toilets were non smelly and the shower hot and had good power on it.

N'a pas aimé Not the biggest fan of the speaker radio playing capital fm loudly in the communal space in the morning and evening. With the drought alert we had to be here to cook, as well as being where the toilets and showers are.

Yup the UK has had the hottest summer on record and the most wild and human started fires.
We are a family fun but more than that Safe campsite.
The food prep and cooking area is at the front of a nicely kept grass area with tables and chairs in front of our rustic reception and veranda. The showers and toilets are to the left of reception accessible by their own steps and all behind doors which are immaculately clean. To suggest they are part of a 'cooking area' is totally inaccurate and quite frankly offensive.
Music.
We are known for a relaxed and gentle vibe, to moan about 'capital' radio that is definitely not loud playing at reception is pretty sad. This cannot be heard at your pitch and all noise through the site dips around 9.30 as we have lovely people camping with us.
I would suggest a pair of headphones on your xmas list before you walk through Marks and Spencer in case xmas music in a public space offends you.
Sadly you have ticked 'would not come again' as it would have been great to ask you face to face if you were born miserable or you have just become an utter whining nerd.
We have a fabulous campsite as you can tell from our fabulous reviews.
I take exception when self entitled people like you think your have the right to bad mouth hard working people.
If you dont like merging with other people you should think about renting a private island if you can find one for £30.

A aimé Such a fantastic last minute find! The hosts were so welcoming and the facilities were great. Everything is kept to a very high standard, the toilets and shower facilities were very clean and kept so throughout our stay. There are good breakfast options, tasty bacon baps and coffee, tea, hot chocolate etc. The evening pizzas were very tasty and the added option of marshmallows to toast on the safely kept fire was a bonus for the children. A brilliant experience and we will be back!

A aimé Lots of room, well spaced pitches, no excessive noise, everyone seemed . There was a lovely atmosphere as there is a section near the shop/reception/pizza shop where anyone could take their mini bbq or gas cooker and all cook in a kind of communal way. The showers were great. Don't be put off by the fact that the toilets are composting toilets. They were kept immaculately clean. The pizzas were delicious and very reasonably priced. We were greeted on arrival by 'Stumpy' the site owner who was so friendly and helpful, he and the team seem to be everywhere, making pizzas and selling all the hot and cold drinks. The site is only open for 28 days in a year so keep a lookout for the available dates (May BHs and August weekends)

N'a pas aimé The only thing that we were a bit disappointed with was that there aren't any dog walks into the forest direct from the site. We talked about it with Stumpy and he's tried to get access to the adjacent forest land but has so far been unsuccessful.
