N'a pas aimé The pitch was not flat it rained abs snowed and had to move the motor home back as was flooded at the front and iced over was near the lake so bit scary the pitch was full of mud and not very wide the toilets only had 1 2 showers but couldn't use as had no heating on at all in are weeks stay had to use are own the washing up area was cold water it was 2 hours there and back to 2 shops no bus shall not return and also no where to walk dog paid £35 for the dog for a week don't no what for

We would like to clarify a few points mentioned in your review. The additional charge for dogs is £5 per dog, which covers extra cleaning and maintenance required for pet-friendly stays.

Regarding the washing-up area, we do clearly state and have signage on site that it is cold water only.

When booking, guests can view the full description of each pitch, including whether it is an electric grass pitch or an electric gravel pitch. These details are clearly shown so that visitors can choose the option that best suits their needs. The pitch you selected was accurately described online.

We understand the weather was poor during your stay, but unfortunately this is something outside of our control and would have affected any location in the area. Heavy rain and snow can naturally impact ground conditions, especially near the lake.

Our toilet and shower facilities include multiple units, and heating is normally in operation. We are sorry if you found it insufficient during your stay, had we been made aware at the time, we would have happily looked into this for you.

As for local amenities, we are a rural site. However, the nearest shops is only a 5 to 10 minute drive. Many guests enjoy the peaceful location and the surrounding countryside walks, though we understand this may not suit everyone.

We appreciate your comments and will continue to review areas where we can improve. We are sorry that your experience fell short of what you hoped for and wish you all the best in your future travels.

A aimé Location good for walks, cycling and touring, lovely staff, lakeside views (though not easy to see as static plots take up most of the lakeside). Quiet at night. Value for money.

N'a pas aimé Pub/bar full of swearing parents swearing at their kids (presume the static caravan crew who all seemed to know each other), shower block not clearly signed, no on-site shop of any note. Toilet block a bit grubby.

A aimé How peaceful the site is , we always choose lake view. It’s just stunning. It’s our 3rd time back and will definitely be returning again. We all love it here. I forgot to take milk with us but reception to the rescue. They had some milk for sale amongst other everyday items than you can purchase at reception. This saved us having to pack up and go to a shop. Once we pitch up that’s us for the stay so this was a life saver for us. Every time we go to this site there is always improvements and changes, it’s great to see. We had to be recovered and the recovery service had a mix up and it ended up with us overstaying check out time. The reception team were very understanding and this took the pressure off us as we were just waiting to be recovered.

A aimé How clean everywhere was, they had toilets almost everywhere which was great, we were on a grass pitch with great access to the exit, toilets and some bins but it did get a bit noisy from the road behind. Our neighbours were friendly and upon arriving so were the staff had a bit of difficulty getting there and they didnt mind we had arrived a day later than expected which was nice.Had a fishing spot which my husband loved but none were biting unfortunately. Id say if you wanted to go anywhere you're looking at about a 10 minute drive but we'll worth it for some things to do! Had a great onsite park but was a bit of a walk to get to it. There's also what seems to be a pub on site but did look a bit dead but I think it might have just been the season!

N'a pas aimé Fish weren't really biting and unfortunately one of the residents we think with a white and blue boat who had been watching us fish got on his boat and looked like he deliberately went into the line we were fishing on, snapping the line and almost breaking the rod. No apology from him or anything he was from across the way so had no reason to be on our side either. There was a rude lady who was a bit assy that I had drove close to where we were fishing to load up. We weren't blocking anyone and was considerate of others. Only there for 5 minutes at most whilst we got everything in the car. The showers were a bit far from the touring pitch, Husband dared it one night but said there wasn't even one light or direction that showed him where to go. We were briefly told at the start but not really much guidance after that. Just so you know your signal isn't the greatest and only certain spots you can get it but thats not to stop anyone from going just might be a bad thing for some.

As for the facilities, everything included at Greengrass Park is clearly listed before booking. We’re only a small, peaceful site situated in the countryside, and we do our best to provide a relaxing environment for all our guests.

We only received an email from you regarding that you will be unable to make the dates of your booking and an apology for making us aware the day before arrival. Following on from this, we didn't receive an additional request to organise another date.

A aimé Level pitch, clean amenities, dogs welcome even in the clubhouse and restaurant.
The young lady on reception upon arrival was so helpful and friendly (sorry I cannot remember her name), this was our first outing in our motorhome and she explained how everything worked.
Breakfast was lovely, bar and kitchen staff were all welcoming, chatty and friendly. Will definitely be visiting again.

N'a pas aimé No space,only two pegs for fishing. Not sure if any fish apart from tiddlers Kids kicked out in the morning and left to constantly bother anglers when all you want is peace. Do not want to babysit other peoples children or grandkids. Defo no carp. Used sonar. Makes out its for anglers, this is not the case for MH /Tourers. Please avoid if you don’t want to be disappointed.

To clarify, our lake is stocked with a variety of species including catfish, tench, roach, bream, perch, eels, carp and pike. While fishing is available as an additional option for our customers, we don’t advertise our park specifically as an angling destination to the public, and so fishing facilities are more limited compared to dedicated fisheries.

Our park is first and foremost a family-friendly site, and we do all we can to ensure children are able to enjoy themselves during their stay. If at any time you felt other guests’ children were causing a nuisance, did you notify reception? We are always happy to address concerns at the time to ensure everyone has the most enjoyable experience possible.

We value all feedback and will continue working hard to provide a welcoming and enjoyable environment for both families and guests who choose to make use of the lake.
