Pitches have been levelled to make putting the tent up easy.
Firepits and picnic tables are a lovely touch. My daughter was colouring at the table even as we were pitching the tent!
Hot showers and toilets are great and even on a bank holiday weekend they were clean and well stocked.
Having fridge also makes it a bit easier storing some food.
Overall such a lovely site.

Nice to know you were happy with the cleanliness of our facilities, we do take pride in our cleaning.
The fridges & freezers do get used a lot it makes life so much easier camping if you have somewhere to keep things cold.

A aimé : Very friendly owner xxx. Super, clean facilities. Even though it was busy at the weekend it never felt overcrowded.
Lovely, large pitches and loved the picnic table and fire pit for each pitch.
Very friendly site.
Beautiful area with great walks and historic places to visit. Particularly loved Ludlow castle.
The Long Mynd was brilliant although the drive up and down again was a bit scary! 🤣


EXCELLENT BREAKFAST cooked by the owner. A real treat!
What a great place for a holiday for all ages.

We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us.
We never overcrowd our campsite, as we want people to have space so our pitches are spread out on purpose.
Even on a bank holiday you always have loads of space to yourself.
Lovely to hear you enjoyed using the picnic tables & fire bowls & enjoyed the walks around us.
The long Mynd is amazing & well worth the scary drive up & down.
So pleased you also enjoyed our cooked breakfasts too.

A aimé : Friendly staff, beautiful scenery, dark skies, toilets and showers clean with plenty of hot water. Kitchen a bonus with kettle, microwave, toaster and fridge freezer. Fire pit and picnic bench with each pitch.

Yes we are very fortunate to have such lovely dark skies, great for stargazing.
On a clear night you can see the milky way & often see shooting stars.

A aimé : Did not stay in a motorhome pitch, stayed in a pod. And it was lovely. Pod was clean and comfortable. My kids enjoyed the telly, whilst I enjoyed the terrace. Food at the clubhouse was lovely. Staff were all really helpful and very friendly.

View was awesome
Found a small bike trail adjacent to the camping pitch using a bridle path where the path forks to either go into forest or towards pasture land. Take the pasture land(right)

Hosts were lovely people especially Steve Austin

Used my roof tent with no issues .

Small town a mile down the road was pleasant and the ale was good.

A aimé : Been here a few times now, and is definitely our campsite of choice. Easy to get to, friendly and great amenities. Proper toilets and shower block. Kitchen area with fridge/freezer. Fab walking location and a few minutes drive into Bishops Castle or 20 min walk.

Yes we are a good location for walking, with many signed paths straight from the campsite & the Bishops Castle walking festival in May too.

N'a pas aimé: The kitchen facilities were basic - ok for our needs, but have stayed at sites with better.

Was a bit surprised that you found our kitchen facilities basic as never had this comment before in fact we have the opposite comment.
2 large fridge freezers, kettle, microwave ,toaster ,washing up sinks with unlimited hot water.
What else could we provide?

A aimé : Great campsite in lovely quiet location on a working farm. Very clean facilities and well equipped internal washing up area with a kettle, microwave, toaster, fridge and freezer and charging points. Welcoming and helpful owners. We had an 8 year child with us and enjoyed some good walks. Nearby Carding Mill Valley and The Bog Visitor Centre (for tea and cake if it's raining!) recommended.

N'a pas aimé: Nothing in particular about campsite itself but to note that there is only a small supermarket in Bishop's Castle so may you want to stock up at Ludlow or Church Stretton with bigger supermarkets.
