A aimé : Quiet, peaceful and great access to the river for kayaking (etc.). Really good communication too, especially out of season. Clean portaloos.

A aimé : this campsite is a little gem . Been visiting once a week from August to October. Pitch where you like , space right next to the river or higher up with river views. Only facilities are two portaloos but they have always been spotless with sanitiser and plenty of loo roll! Its never been over crowded and midweek there has often been only myself and a few others. Cant say what its like at weekends but i imagine there is still loads of space.

A aimé : Everything. The location, the views, the sheep and other campers we met..all made for a fantastic overnight stay. We were greeted on arrival by the lovely Kaz, we advised that this was our first ever campervan adventure and that we forgot to bring a pan. She was lovely enough to lend us one to cook our breakfast the following morning. We will definitely be back.

A aimé : Lovely quiet site with panoramic views. The staff member was very welcoming and friendly.

A aimé : This site is exquisite, and we were very pleased to be back again. We were able to pitch with a view of the River Nene, Fotheringhay Castle (a mound only remains) and Fotheringhay church, which is a gem. For company we had red kites overhead. For sustenance we ate and drank at the superlative Falcon Inn, ten minutes walk away. For our personal needs the PortaLoos were spotless and well-located. For our absolute comfort, we did use levelling blocks for the campervan (first notch only). If you are happy off-grid then this is a wonderful place to be.

A aimé : Beautiful site and incredibly relaxing, well looked after and maintained. Toilet facilities are the cleanest I’ve ever seen on a camp site. I camped at the top of the hill overlooking the river and watched the cows grazing in the field opposite. I didn’t want to leave. If you want the wild camp experience then this is for you.

A aimé : Lovely campsite, Very helpful pro-active warden, lots of freedom of where to pitch, clean facilities and access to wonderful historic sites, good village pub and lots of places to walk.

N'a pas aimé: Unfortunately (this is no fault of the campsite) there was what sounded like a very loud fan running most of the night, I think a local farm must have been grain drying.

A aimé : Loved this campsite, free to choose a spot, not marshalled but warmly welcomed by host. Facilities were clean and well signposted. The site is beautiful, I had no idea Northamptonshire is so picturesque. Views across the river, nice walks, lovely pub and even a carboot sale at the village hall. Couldn’t ask for more.
