Briarfields Touring Park

N'a pas aimé Pitches very tight.. we are new to touring this year .. this is the 8th site we’ve used and it the smallest pitch we’ve been on .. only one chemical disposal site.. for all the caravans and motor home .. I had to queue.. ( never done this before! ) .. toilet shower block closed a 11:00 to 1:00.. for cleaning.. I forgot and walked over the threshold and was shouted at by a lady.. not polite at all .. to use the disabled one .. ok but there was a chair holding the door of this open .. so it wasn’t very clear.. Ony 2 of the shower had a bench and partition.. these were in use .. so used the other ones .. just a flimsy shower curtain which was far from water resistant.. the water came underneath it .. making the whole area wet .. and a stool .. which was soaked by the previous person.. .. .. we booked 2 nights left after 1 .. not done this before..

We always do our very best to ensure guests have a positive experience and are here at reception should any concerns arise during a stay so it’s a real shame we didn’t have the opportunity to speak with you in person and try to resolve things at the time.

All guests are provided with a park plan upon arrival, where all amenities and facilities including our two fully equipped service areas are clearly marked. We're sorry if this wasn’t as clear to you at the time, as we always aim to help guests feel informed and settled from the start.

With regard to the washroom cleaning schedule. I understand that you entered the building during the cleaning period, past the clearly displayed closed signs, and encountered one of our team members mid-clean. That team member was Joy, who many of our guests know and frequently praise for her warmth, helpfulness, and genuinely friendly nature. I can say with absolute confidence that Joy would never intentionally raise her voice or speak to a guest in a rude manner - it’s simply not in her character. She will be very upset to read your comments, as she takes great pride in making everyone feel welcome and cared for during their stay.

Our team consistently receives praise for their friendliness and approachability, and I know they’ll be very upset to read your comments, as they work incredibly hard to make every guest feel welcome and looked after.

A aimé Staff were lovely and friendly. Site was well kept. Facilities were fab, clean and modern. Pitch was level and electric hook up was easy to access. Site was in a great location to explore the surrounding area.

N'a pas aimé Road noise but once you zoned it out it wasn’t a bother.

A aimé Really enjoyed our stay in the glamping pod. It had everything we needed such as plates, cutlery, a fridge, plug sockets, a bed and a little table. Simple but had all the essentials.

The site was quiet and well-kept, and the toilets were honestly much cleaner than I expected. Everything felt tidy and looked after.

Great little break overall. Would definitely come back.

A aimé Excellent. The staff were very welcoming. Great showers, plenty of hot water. The toilet/shower block was kept very clean and tidy. J liked the music playing in the shower block. Easy access to Gloucester and Cheltenham. The pitches were level and a good size with beech hedging in between. Excellent wi-fi. Excellent information before arrival and on the day. Probably one of the best run sites we have been to. I only scored it 9 because the A40 was adjacent to the site, which made it very easy to access but noisy at night. This was helped by wearing ear-plugs at night. ASDA and a pub within walking distance (10 minutes away)

A aimé It was our third time staying on this site, it did not disappoint, all facilities are very clean. Good bus service outside the site to Cheltenham and Gloucester .

A aimé Great access to road network, Michael was fantastic on reception and allowed us access early which helped no end 😃. The Buttercup pod we stayed in was compact very clean and bed very comfortable. Using shared washing facilities is always a small concern BUT the facilities at Briarfield were fantastic and a pleasure to use. There was also an added bonus for the dogs and that was Dorothy’s field which was a totally enclosed field for walking the dogs. We look forward to seeing you next year and hopefully I can meet Dorothy & Simon on our return.

A aimé First time staying at this site and it was easy access from the M5, which was perfect for us.
Easy check in and was allocated our pitch and was pitched on a service pitch near to the toilet blocks.
The site is very well kept, the signage around the site was good, and even the map given to us had all the information we needed and was very useful.
ASDA was a 15 minute walk away, which we did use as having a motorhome its not as easy jumping in a car.
Only stayed for two nights, so can't comment on the bus services etc but we would use if we had more time.
People mentioned about road noise, but to us it didn't bother us, but you do get the planes flying over as you are near the airfield, again not a problem for us.
Overall the site is perfect, clean and tidy and well managed, and we will be using this site again as its in a top 5 of the best ones we have stayed at.

A aimé Efficient and welcoming reception from the team on site. Loads of info for visitors.

The system for our entry and exit was also very efficient (inc ANPR)

Well kept grounds. Nice sized pitches with services. The shower button needs frequent pressing, but there's plenty of warm water from these clean effective showers, in ample sized 'cubicles'.

In fact, everything about the site was clean and tidy.

Dog friendly, the site has a dedicated dog walking area (perfect spot to watch the sun set).

WiFi speed was better than at home.

Accessible: frequent bus service(s) right outside the campsite.

Whilst we didn’t take bikes, the area has a very good cycling network.

N'a pas aimé I don't like shower curtains. But they, too, were clean.

The site is off a busy road. (Can't be helped, and means buses are frequent/easily accessible. But worth noting)
