Me gustó We're pension aged couple, a couple of past reviews nearly put us off, what a mistake that would've been, this site is amongst our favourites for value & surrounding countryside, the site manager treated us freinds not as a number, greated us on arrival, and took us to our pitch etc', I noticed him picking litter up one day from the wheat field adjacent to site, that's a 10 : ) toilet/ showers are modern and clean, like every site we've used they have their moments, mostly the odd disrespectful guests, BUT this was rare, anything untoward was soon rectified by the site manager !!. the bins out visual site & toilet waste back of showers similar, we really enjoyed our stay, so much so, that we're contemplating buying a larger caravan & renting a seasonal pitch...

No me gustó As with any site, one could find something, all our live's me & the missus have used campsites, a missing toilet roll never ruined our holiday : ) ( we carry em on board = emergency ) .. our 02 Internet a bit tricky at times. but there was nothing major to dislike in our view ...

Me gustó A very good site, new toilets/ showers, always hot water, always appeared clean enough when we used them, bins easy to dispose of rubbish, grassed area's nice, 30 min walk into skegness, Aldi & B&M on way, tesco express 10mins from camp, bus stops outside.. We would definitely stay again, BUT ! further into the camp away from Road. please see disliked !

No me gustó We were on pitch 67, the main road is close, the traffic noise was off-putting, quietened after teatime, but noisy from 7am onwards, its a busy main road at peak times.. pitches are great but don't forget robust steel pegs for awnings on gravel !! - pay for WiFi

Me gustó Received 3 emails before arrival, bill paid, directions, and about the site.. met by Jack's assistant Jeff on arrival, a top lad who always smiling, and would always ask on passing " everything OK " ? any probs I'm over there ! the place is excellent regarding pitch and adjoining woodland area, great for dogs !.. we had it hot n sun, but had shade if needed with trees& bushes around, sheltered too, the toilets and shower blocks may be a tad dated, BUT they worked, showers always hot, always clean too, loo rolls always there, some describe quirky, I'll go with that lol.. water tap on pitch..we're pension age and long time campers, theres obvious rules to adhere to, but without having an obsessive nature.. free wifi also ..we'll be coming back, we enjoyed the place.

Me gustó Easy going site, owners available in farmhouse, so left alone to camp peacefully, 1st thing that struck me was the views, real nice, quiet ! no road noise, 10- 15 min walk into town ( village ), footpath all the way so safe, a torch handy for some ?, a nice touch is being able to arrive and leave at will, I could get reception / internet on my fone no probs, I'd visit again ....hopefully without the rain lol

No me gustó Just observations because I enjoyed ! - I don't understand why broken locks on toilet doors are not repaired when broke, if they are flimsy & keep getting broke ( as these ) fit robust heavier ones, the water tap needs a sign, the toilet waste disposal must be a secret or I need specsaver's !, showers dated but functional, looks like foundations dug for future facilities, !! - just observations !

Me gustó The value for money, new modern shower and toilet block ( 4 ) cleaned daily, water point,elsan disposal, grey water. spot on.. site was clean and tidy, village 10 min walk for 2 pubs/ food.. chinese takeaway, never saw chippy open, a co-op seems to have most things & open late, my mobi had good internet reception, nice to walk about with my Springer, I would return without doubt at the pitch value ! nice to come across sites that aren't financially greedy, personally I find it a refreshing change !

No me gustó No dislikes, but just honest observations for readers, the brewery is close, on occasional days there's morning noise , as in empty barrel handling unloading etc, 3 days from 6 for me, lasted an hour then peaceful all day, note ! make sure you get a pitch number ! no site warden, you have a phone number, some had difficulty getting an answer, which is an shame, folk get frustrated, come on brewery, sort it cos you've a great little site !!

Me gustó Well kept grounds, clean & tidy, very good toilet/ grey water disposal unit, bins and fresh water, lovelly views, my 13 ft caravan fitted in ok, light van !!, perfect for motorhomes, NO undesirables on site, all decent nice people who respected each other and site, aldi/ sainsbury 2 min ride away, I noticed some reviews complained about price, but it's a trade off really as it keeps the socially unacceptable away, we're not one's who want to see owners looking over our shoulder, never saw em, they're on the phone if needed, they sent me my pitch details before arrival, so job sorted, we'll use again I'm sure... unless we want to use awning

No me gustó Nothing to dislike, there is no toilet or shower, site description tells us so before booking, we read it, and are intelligent enough to take it in. we got what we paid for, I am glad my caravan was a small easy park up though !

Me gustó The site is set in a beautiful area, the pitch area was overlooking woodland where we took our Springer for walks, fantastic being so close, disposal point good, recycling bins good, water tasted far, far better than our chemically enhanced rubbish up north, easy site to get to being 5 mins off the A35 up a decent size country lane, wide gateway and well displayed sign, 10 mins Dorchester for all our needs, and coast easily accessible, the owners ( Stuart & Sarah ) made our stay memorable, lovelly couple, always ready to help and advise if needed. thanks to both, will return !! .

Me gustó The owners honesty, the pub venue and atmosphere, town is 15min walk, everything you need !, site is square n tarmac with a grass perimeter for tents, or table n chairs, portable loo with shower, worked !, washing up sink and water, pubs open early so toilets n sinks, easy access into site which is behind pub from main road, the pub is quirky and great for music, much bigger inside than it looks, quite a lot of bikers 1 night, mature and friendly , the staff were great real friendly, the owner John comes across as an honest down to earth guy, I spent 20 mins on leaving with him and as he says " this is not the ritz, it's a functional stop over without ritz prices" lol, I stayed 3 nights and will visit for music and breaking journeys south,

Me gustó A great countryside site, we pitched on the wild camp side overlooking the cornfield,picturesque!, the site was flat, the wild side short grassed area's to be had, large tree's if shade needed, the water, toilet drop and grey water are brand new !!, so are 2 compost toilets !!, we found it a quiet site, ok, the Cockerell lol, it's the country : ), never bothered us, Wells 5 mins by car, 2 major factors was the competitive price, and Dawn the owner ( possibly the nicest owner we have met ), definitely going to use the place again !!!

No me gustó Nothing to dislike at the "value for money" cost !! someone mentioned flies : ) take a fly spray, it's countryside !! they're on most sites in summer lol, never bothered us ! wifi ?? avaliable but we were right at the camps edge so reception tricky, just consider where you pitch if it bothers !

Me gustó peaceful place and clean, nice stop over although we had 5 days, easy access to coast so good base, asda 10 mins away, nice pub n food, polite people running the site always available, would stay again, especially as a stop off to Yarmouth ..

No me gustó a garden party with band going on till early hours, NOT the site's fault ! but some may mention, a one off from selfish people !

Me gustó An enjoyable 4 night stay, I was visiting Cheltenham horse racing festival, this was a last minute choice !, I had a quiet stay being March, I was met by Sean ( nice guy ) on arrival who took me to my pitch, had choice of hard standing but I chose the grass, the site was divided by bushes into small flat area's which was nice, this made it sheltered, I had a day of exeptional non stop rain, this obviously made the ground boggy, it drained taking 2 days, the owners are in process of laying limestone chippings. there was an excess of it about, due to making further inroads, the toilet/ shower block was new and clean, tissue and cleaning liquids always available, fresh water tap and elsan point, I will be using this site as a stopover in future when holidaying in the South, it is in the countryside, but close to Gloucester, Tewkesbury etc', , internet on laptop n mobi worked well !

No me gustó I cannot say I disliked anything really, although the site was functioning well, the owners are still adding to improve, the stone chippings will add to better matters when raining for access to the grasses area's, the entrance is huge on arrival and well stoned !! impressive, easy access from main road, water points were being added further into grassed area's.. one point of issue is only 1 toilet pot in Gents, if the site was real busy would 1 be adequate ?

Me gustó We had shower, toilet, drinking water and waste point, the site was level, well looked after and clean, this is a beautiful place, the surrounding scenery with the fishing lakes and wild life is the prettiest we have come across, Ian ( site owner ) is a "genuine " nice guy who is always ready to help with any problem, mobi reception / internet good, Louth is 3 mls away on quiet country road, it's absolutely full of individual small shops, full great pubs ( try Cobble's ) cafe's, restaurants, and brilliant market, a proper good old fashioned England town. we will be going back ! Brilliant time

Me gustó Due to certain reviews we were apprehensive over booking, need not have been, we enjoyed our week here, plenty of room to be had, theres a footy pitch in middle BUT, it is marked out in brown not white as to blend in with campsite, and it does brilliant ! the surrounding scenery is beautiful, the pub is as you enter, so not in your face when camped, 3 wheely bins, toilet and showers, no designated elsan point for waste, but can use the drain at back of pub, totally adequate !!! - 1 shop in village, theres a lane by rugby club ( welshpool direction)takes you to a texaco where theres a londis,- considering the cost of camping we will return here ! - I would certainly have given 5 • ( see dislikes )

No me gustó on arrival the toilets were questionable, the day after spotlessly cleaned for our weeks stay, a few repairs needed to 2 out of 4 showers ( usable tho) 1 sink had dirty water in BUT was taped with do not use, so campers fault for using !! the water tap is the last service at the end of shower/ toilet units, this is why it starts ok then dribbles, it worked ok when we left ?? there is another behind pub tho !!.. someone needs to check for litter left by campers n tidy, a small point, because its beautiful here, some campers ought to be be ashamed !! we had 4 different groups of bikers who were spotless yet a few families you would expect to clean after themselves were not were not ! just shows how we can stereotype campers wrong at times- after having completed my dislikes, me n wifey Will return here, the pub staff that appear to run site ? were real nice to get along with and dealt with complaints !!

Me gustó Surprised us how good it was because price wise it was cheaper than many in Cornwall, we were on field 3, shower / toilets brilliant, everywhere was clean, it is a large site but found noise etc' minimal, the staff I encountered were really nice, the site is away from coast but central to everywhere, a nice kids playground, a great place for dog to walk, I had wifi 02 / gff, on tablet n phone and always had reception so marking 5 on that, we will be going back to this site !!

No me gustó For the cost it's hard to be churlish over, I would prefer the non electric pitches to be marked out, electric are ! , we personally had people camp to close to us either side whilst them having room to pitch, you do get a big expanse of grass in front of pitch with no one in front, so well open aspect, a sloping site in parts but roads down the middle well away from your pitch, any rain you're not stuck,

Me gustó Nice friendly owners that run a quiet country site, this was an ideal stopover for us and would definitely use again, small site that you reach by country lane, no probs for me !! adequate water, clean toilets, and the toilet dispo' is the Best I have come across, for a site so small as this actually amazed me ! - I alway's mark according to cost and what is MY personal needs ( stop over )

No me gustó For the cost ? nothing other than couple dogs barked into early hrs, i'm surmising this was a one off from outside and not the site's fault !!

Me gustó The Owners are nice folks that truly care about their site, the toilet, showers, laundry and washing area's are spotless, continually cleaned through the day, nice touches to water area's ( slate soakaways ) so no muddy feet, the grass area's throughout is trimmed and well looked after ( best i've come across ) flowering pots around adds colour, toilet and grey water disposal under cover and private, this is a pretty site well cared for !! - 2.5 ml to Perranporth £6 all day parking,

Me gustó The Beautiful peaceful country site, run by owners that treat you more like friends than strangers, a flat grassed site easy accessible, toilet/ shower spotless, nice small fishing lake at the top end, loads of rabbits about at evening sets a nice scene as one strolls around, our springer was besotted lol ! there was always somewhere to walk the dog if you have one, a short walk out of site takes you to the village, picturesque river setting to picnic by, 3 late shops, fish shop, pubs, garage, ancient church,- 10 mins car ride away is Wisbech with half dozen large supermarkets and many large stores etc- the coast is within a 3/4 hr ride, Sandringham estate on the way. no wifi supplied, but reception was great on my tablet and phone internet !!

Me gustó The work rate the owners put into making this site Excellent and clean, toilets spotless ! and covid notices n rules applied in order to serve campers, ( thanks ) , 4-5 washing up sinks, toilet disposal, 3 clean water taps, nice well kept grass field, the pygmy goat area n Avery for kids is a nice attraction, lovely little orchard area, we saw wild rabbits wondering the site which was nice to see, all in all a smashing value for money site, we'll definitely be back as a great stop over travelling from yorks to sth coast..

No me gustó Nothing, there is a train line near but did not hear run at night, and the daytime one's you get used to n forget about. not objectionable to us !

Me gustó The owners, the beautiful fields and surroundings, the country walks, peaceful, the pitch area is great, nice grass not sparse, slight slope but easily level enough to cope, you have a clear view in front and behind, other campers are a gd distance either side, 2 water tsps, bins at entrance, and private enclosed waste point, great for bike's, old rail cycle route at side of the campsite, hardcore drive all the way up to site. village 15min walk, shop and pub/ food, Petersfield 6 mls away for supermarket/ shops/ banks etc, that's it ! basic site, but value for money, booked 3 nights and stayed 6 lol, thats me happy, will be back !

Me gustó Easy going chilled out nature of the place, clean portaloo's ( 4) water and sink provided, NO waste disposal tho', a lot of younger people in groups around the field, ( weekend ) really enjoying life, we're pensioners and had a good laugh with them, a joy !.- A mobile coffee / tea and basic's trailer at top end of field,- surrounded by smashing scenery and the owner always available, + daily wood drop for fire pits ! ( charge) village 1ml up road 2 pubs and food, sml grocery store, all in all, a great value money stay, Basic !! but value !!
