Me gustó Great location for visiting Le Man, everything on the site you could need and decent size pitch. Families with younger kids seemed to be having a great time.

No me gustó We were disappointed with our stay, especially given the price. Our pitch was a decent size but difficult to access because of the trees, and we were told to position the caravan with the awning facing into the field — something that would have been very difficult without a motor mover. Our 25m electric lead only just reached the hookup. The facilities were inadequate for the number of campers, with just two toilets and one shower serving two fields. We were told we could use the main toilet block instead, which was a fair distance away and I wouldn’t have felt comfortable letting our older kids walk all that way alone. The facilities were among the dirtiest we’ve encountered during our trip around France, and hot water in the shower was intermittent. The pool was also far too small for the number of people the site accommodates, it was absolutely rammed, so we didn’t bother using it. You only get 2 hours WiFi per person for your stay, but what wasn’t mentioned was that it could only be used on the day you arrived, so we didn’t end up using one of the vouchers we had saved for our leaving day. Overall, we felt the site was overpriced and that you’re mainly paying for the novelty of staying by the château and being close to Le Mans. Not somewhere we’d return to.

Me gustó Lovely small site with everything you need. Toilets and showers were clean and we had a decent sized pitch. Really peaceful with countryside surrounding the site

No me gustó Less of a dislike and more for information, the site is off a main road with pretty poor visibility so had to take care pulling away from the site entrance

Me gustó Great campsite in a fantastic location, close to Argelès-sur-Mer and perfectly placed for visiting Collioure, the Pyrenees and the wider area. The site has everything you need, including a pool, bar and restaurant. We loved the pool party, and all the staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. We'd definitely stay here again if visiting the area.

No me gustó Less of a dislike but more for information: The campsite is separated from the pool, bar and restaurant by a road. It's not a busy road, but it's worth knowing if you're travelling with young children. The recycling and waste points are located on the road. During peak holiday periods, the shower blocks get very busy from around 5pm onwards, often with long queues. My husband ended up showering late in the evening (11:30pm) to avoid them, but the lights appeared to be on a timer and switched off while he was in there. Finally, the pitches are quite tight. If you have a caravan over 7m, you will need to have a motor mover to make pitching easier.

Me gustó The site was really peaceful and quiet, with plenty of activities to keep the kids entertained. The facilities were kept clean. Simon was really welcoming, providing helpful information regarding the local area and for our onward trip

Me gustó Lots of things to do locally, so a good central position to be based. Relaxed and mostly quiet site

No me gustó There was litter and dog poo on and around our pitch when we arrived. Toilets and facilities were tired and often weren’t the cleanest. The pitches could do with a bit of maintenance, a lot of the gravel had sunk into the mud and there were large puddles after rain. The swimming pool and restaurant are actually on a site on the opposite side of a main road, so we didn’t use.
