No me gustó: It could be better organised. It wasn't clear where was okay to pitch up. There is no service to call and find out where is an acceptable place to pitch. I would recommend getting there as early as possible to secure a dedicated spot. This was a mistake we learned from.

Near: Honister Slate Mine, main road with bus route to Keswick, pizza oven, local pubs, plenty of walks, wild swimming opportunities, small shop. The site is well looked after and clean.No me gustó: Quite enclosed site so don’t have expansive views.
Lots of little bugs in the air due to being near the river.
