No me gustó: The pitches are too narrow, difficult to access and sloping all of which could be resolved.

We are so sorry the toilets were not in perfect condition while you stayed. We regularly check and clean the showers, but I know if is extremely challenging when wet and we have had some significantly wet periods. We are looking at ways to improve and take your comments on board.
We are so glad you were able to enjoy the riverside walks and look forward to hopefully welcoming you back again.

Good location for cycling, walking visiting nearby points of interest.No me gustó: -Not advised at time of booking that the shop where I needed to book in would be closed. (closed for the whole season, as was the house).
-Very limited facilities with two accessible toilets combined as showers. Whilst someone was showering the toilet was not available. 2 Toilets are not sufficient for the number of pitches.Not advised that a car rally would be arriving in the dark to use the carpark as a check in point. As exciting as this may be for some people the attraction of this site for us was that the site was meant to be a quiet peaceful site. The raw of some (most) of the engines was frightening my dog, and we were kept awake.
It may be a different story in the summer months, but Late season is not the best time to visit this site unless you are fully contained and not seeking any onsite facilities.
Although the café was open, the first visit the member of staff didn't know where I should book in. Charged me £5.80 for a take away coffee and was very unhelpful.
Second visit for lunch, one member of staff advised she couldn't make speciality festive coffees as she was alone. She could not cook bacon for the Brie and Bacon Sandwich, as she was alone, she could offer me only one of the 2 soups advertised as it was already heated up and the other was not.luckily only 2 of use to feed. the group of 6 behind us were similarly dismissed and advised of a very limited availability and she could not cook anything if she was making coffee's. I believe this group just grabbed cans of coke from the fridge.
This place has such potential - but unfortunately we did not get to see the best of Paxton House.
We are sad that you did not enjoy yourself or see Paxton at our best.
The House is a seasonal attraction- which is clearly advertised everywhere and is standard for most visitor attractions. As you note our cafe was open, but on the days you were in the caravan park, we had significant staffing issues which meant that we only had one member of staff manning the cafe. She worked tirelessly to make sure everyone was served and chose not to close the kitchen in an attempt to provide a better service.
The toilets we have are never listed- because we know that two wet rooms are not enough for a site. It is clearly advertised as not having any facilities at all for this reason.
The Walled Garden is generally very sheltered and I am sorry to read that the car rally disrupted your evening.
We hope you will reconsider staying with us again and enjoying us at our best.

Only two, female and male, combined toilet and shower rooms, but impeccably clean and spacious. Nice grassed spaces between pitches, which my dogs loved to run about on, on their leads of course, suited me and my small campervan perfectly, happily stay there again. Didn't get to visit Hall but will next time.
