We loved our pitch site in the woods. It was large and flat, and at night it was completely dark. The only noises we heard were from the owls. There were trees between each pitch and you could get quite far from other campers. It felt like we were camping on our own land. We also loved how close the campsite was to a number of fantastic trails for day hikes as well as to go in to the village.

The sink drains in the bathroom need to be cleaned out. Water was backing up in them. The campsite fee was higher than others in the area, but we felt it was worth it.

Verry relaxing loved the peace and tranquility very helpful and emanates where spot on

Couldn't really have been better, wild camping but not really.

Facilities on site were great, little shop for stuff we'd forgotten.

There was a friendly cat who came to spend time with us which was a bonus, and a Robin came and sat within a metre of us.

Sinks didn't drain very well and the toilet cubicles were a little tight.

Gorgeous campsite. We had a woodland pitch and it felt very private, with 'wild' camping vibes. We had our 2 year old and he loved running around, splashing in puddles. The river and estuary is only a short walk away with amazing views. Very dog friendly. Pizza was delicious and cold drinks from the bar were just what we needed. Staff were lovely. Clean, basic facilities.

We visited Barmouth beach abd Bala Lake, both about a 30 min drive from the campsite.

Really friendly and welcoming. Camping field where you can pitch where you like rather than some sites where you're made to go where the campsite finds convenient. Beautiful views, lovely and quiet. Other campers were nice and civilised. We liked the bar and recycling facilities. Showers were decent enough. We'd definitely come again.

Could do with a few more toilets, we were usually queueing for them. Maybe a compost toilet or two down the bottom would be good so you don't have to walk so far.

Loved that we could buy food, but go easy on the salt!

Location of the campsite is beautiful. There is an amazing oak woodland and stream nearby which I couldn't recommend enough. Great for a walk and a dip. Very close to the estuary.
Well stocked shop onsite for basics.

Not enough focus on the basic necessities of a campsite and for that reason I wouldn't return.
Only 4 toilet cubicles for a large campsite full of people is shocking. And the toilet cubicles were horribly cramped and claustrophobic. The doors on atleast 2 cubicles also didn't close fully so good luck getting any privacy.
The wash basins are in the cubicles and were really small and unhygienic.
Only 3 showers and one morning everyone was having to have freezing cold showers and with the water backing up out of the drains.
Also the facilities block is located at the top of a steep hill so having to constantly walk up and down quickly gets exhausting especially if you have a grass pitch which are all at the bottom of the site.
For me these things completely overshadow the good aspects of the campsite and were a constant source of frustration.
