Me gustó Fantastic site, so lovely to find an old school campsite. In a wonderfully quiet and beautiful area. Watching the sun set and then a meteor storm for afters!

Me gustó The space is amazing, so many places to pitch/park. Having so many walks on the door step is golden.

New lights have been installed in the loo/kitchen block and they work an absolute treat! No stumbling around in the dark. Chaps did a sterling job!

Me gustó Views ware amazing, price, facilities are very clean always replenishing loo rolls too. Having no hot water wasn’t a problem if you can brave a cold shower there is one. Plenty of walks on the doorstep. Peace and quiet at night and can have fire pits to keep off the chill Loved our stay.

Me gustó This is a gem of a place, really is.
We have a 9 metre motorhome and found it absolutely fantastic.
Just pull in and park wherever you like.
Even with a big rig like ours, it posed no problem. We found a spot and were actually pretty level. Levellers done and spot on.
Might need chocks if you have a van depending where you park up.
Sea views all around. Not just a glimmer, these views smack you in the face! Across to Dublin, and the Isle of Mann. Fantastic - if the sun is out it’s gleaming !
Enough space around us to feel we had our own little haven and privacy.
Sheep in the back field which added to the charm of the place.
You have masses of space to pick a spot you like, tents mainly (not all) were in a field at the back (out of any wind) some though picked spots further towards the sea for that fantastic view.
Lots of vans around and Tentboxes on cars. This site had a big mix of campers who were all enjoying themselves.
Lots of dogs around which was nice, all under control and enjoying themselves experience.
We had left our elderly dogs at home this time but will definitely come back with them now knowing the lay of the land.

Definitely one of the best we’ve visited and we’ve visited a lot.
We didn’t use any facilities as we have everything ‘onboard’ but seems people were happy with what was there.
There’s no pub or shops nearby that we could see so make sure you take what you need before arrival.

The surrounding area was great to visit.
In one weekend we visited Penrhos Country park, Port Wen Brickworks (a must) and the Parys Mountain old copper mine. Those 3 we did in one day. All within 40 mins of the campsite.

Those in bigger motorhomes, the drive to get to the camping entrance is quite narrow, it’s not particularly challenging really but I think it would be if we met another truck/bus/van - someone would probably have to reverse to a suitable place to let the other pass.
Luckily we passed without problems.
Don’t let that put you off if you’re a larger van. It’s doable!

The big thing about this place is the family that runs it. David is a lovely guy, has time for everyone and just pops over to check alls well.
His daughter? and son Huw runs it too but was poorly in hospital. I’d texted before arrival as we got stuck for 2hrs in traffic and were concerned arriving after dark - Huw even rang the next day from his hospital bed checking we were ok.
Over and above these people to make you welcome and have a good experience.
We’ll be back again for sure. Thank You guys.

No me gustó Only 3 toilets for the whole site so you queue up a lot in the morning waiting for the toilet.

Me gustó Lovley views, toilets were exceptionally clean and hosts provided toilets roll and hand-wash.
Site was very clean and a lovely area.
Very quiet.

Me gustó Stunning views, owners and family really nice , nothing to much trouble even brought a spanner for me to change a gas bottle.
Toilets spotless and checked all the time
Pitches clean and tidy .
Excellent value .

No me gustó Having to leave .
Could do with a hosepipe near chemical waste to rinse toilet off.

Me gustó Was beautiful and the family who owned the field were lovely and so welcoming

No me gustó Unfortunately it was too windy and our tent pegs kept coming up :( we had to go home after a few attempts, not their fault, purely just bad luck with weather, hoping to try again when the weather is nicer as it’s a beautiful spot!
