Me gustó Nice pub, with good food and garden.

No me gustó Rather primitive site. Inability to bring the car on to the site was a major problem. They supplied a rickety wheelbarrow, and I made several trips with it, through the garden, down a little lane, turn right to enter the car park, fill barrow and return. My feelings about this weren’t improved by the drizzle ( not their fault, obviously! ). I was a solo camper, but a family would have found this far more inconvenient.
To be fair, I couldn’t see any way that the above could have been avoided,so it was probably my own fault for not reading the small print beforehand. I moved on next day and found a more suitable site, which also happened to be significantly cheaper.

Me gustó The campsite was as described, in the garden of a nice pub in a quiet village. The host was friendly and was around if you had any questions. There are no showers, but you can wash up your dirty plates etc. A good, cheap location if you fancy exploring the East Sussex area. The Sunday roast was also very nice, and you got a 10% to boot.

Me gustó Very nice little location nice little pub with play area if you have kids can’t go wrong with the price I would recommend to a friend.

Me gustó Super cute wee area. Simple but perfect. There was only one other tent and family when we were there so it was very quiet and lovely. The pub is so lovely and is only a minute walk from the campsite.

Me gustó Fab campsite - perfect for what we wanted

No me gustó Portaloo was quite smelly but otherwise clean (it is August and has been warm, so not too surprising!)
Wheelbarrow is a fab touch as not park to pitch however could do with some more air in the tyre!

Me gustó A charming and peaceful spot in a tiny village, just steps away from a friendly, character-filled pub. The only slight drawback is the absence of a proper bathroom, and portable toilet that isn’t exactly fragrant, but is spotless and regularly cleaned. When the pub is open, guests can use the indoor toilets. There’s also a sink with running water on-site. A wonderful place for anyone craving peace, quiet, and a slower pace of life.

Me gustó The quietness, the pub grub, the friendliness of the staff, the simple, clean amenities and big field for camping in. Great for a small child and dog, the pub even had a small play bit for the child. Beer garden was beautiful. Wheelbarrow was provided to get your stuff to the camping field from the car park. (Car park was big, protected by hedges)

Location for walks / bike ride.

My friend and I stayed for one night. Unfortunately it is not mentioned that you cannot park your car next to your tent and have to carry all your equipment from the pub car park, through the beer garden, to your pitch. No offer of wheelbarrow / pull along. Lots of trips for some fellow campers.
The food was good at the pub but they closed at 9.45 on a Friday night! Early night for us. The site was an un-mowed field. Bar staff not particularly friendly or helpful.
