Hanworth Country Park

Me gustó Stayed for the first time this weekend on a fully serviced pitch in our MH. Large pitch, very well maintained. Fantastic views and walks around the numerous lakes. Fab little on-site bar/cafe serving a variety of meals, snuggled on a winters night with a roaring fire and cold beverage. Friendly staff. Dogs allowed in the in-door Veranda section. Can't wait to return!

Me gustó Large level gravel pitch. Toilet sink and shower in one cubical. Lovely walks around the lake and surrounding area. Walked into town and the chequers pub. Little cafe on site serving a lovely cooked breakfast, we will definitely be back as it was a little gem and not far from home.

Me gustó Quiet location . Somewhere to eat and drink on site . Pleasant staff. Walk to the village ( Chequers pub very nice ) about 10 minutes to catch a bus to Lincoln. Showers and toilets were clean but could have done with a deep clean.

Fabulous restaurant and bar serving a great choice of drinks and amazing food.
We only stayed one night as a quick stop over, but will definitely be coming back.

Me gustó We spent New Year’s Eve at Hanworth Country Park, and the whole experience was outstanding. From the moment we arrived, the team made us feel genuinely welcome. The spacious, level pitches were easy to set up on, and the warm, spotless showers were a real treat during a very cold, winter stay. Our friends had fully serviced pitches, which they said where very well laid out with plenty of room if they wanted to pop an awning up, on future stays.
The park is beautifully designed, with peaceful lakes perfect for fishing, surrounded by abundant nature that makes every walk feel peaceful and refreshing. The paddle boarding and a dedicated wild swim lake— though it was far too cold for us to attempt it this time, is a must for a return visit in the summer. Nature is everywhere you look, and the well stocked fishing ponds kept several members of our group happily occupied.
It’s also in an excellent location. A ten minute walk, across a well-worn footpath, takes you into Potter Hanworth, a beautiful well-kept village, with a lovely little pub called The Chequers, perfect for a hot toddy before our return back to the Country Park. St Andrews Church is beautiful, and opposite is the converted water tower. where you can catch a bus straight into historic Lincoln, making it simple to explore without needing to drive. Try to get off the bus at the top of “Steep Hill!” you will understand why when you see it.
Hanworth Country Park is located perfectly for a visit to The International Bomber Command Centre, which is a museum and memorial dedicated to all those who served in World War 2. (This is a pre order ticket Museum)
is where you can see a Dakota aircraft and learn all about the 106 Squadron and the Lancaster Bombers, this is a volunteer run museum and opens during the spring/ summer season.
The latest Lincolnshire spectacular “On Freedoms Wings “is a life size statue of a Lancaster Bomber made of steel, it is Located at Norton Disney, and is free to visit, it is described as Lincolnshire’s, “Angel of the North.” As you can see, I am a proud Lincolnshire Yellowbelly, and I love celebrating what our county has to offer, Hanworth Country Park is the perfect location to explore wonderful Lincolnshire, with its stunning beaches, where you can walk in solitude for miles, quaint seaside resorts with donkeys, fish and chips, Haddock of course, and historic pier at Cleethorpes and world war one forts out at sea. Lincolnshire has hidden towns and villages, Louth with its many pubs and brewery and distillery. Woodhall Spa with its historic connections to the Dambusters at Petwood Hotel and its yearly 1940s extravaganza.
Our New Year’s Eve celebrations were made even better by the fantastic entertainment from Karl Leto, whose guitar, vocals, and looping skills created an amazing atmosphere. The evening table buffet was delicious and varied and so plentiful. The following morning’s excellent, well priced breakfast and great coffee were exactly what we needed. The bar and café is used by ramblers and cyclists, and there are bike racks outside. All the staff have excellent customer service skills, and so obviously enjoy working together as a team. It is also dog friendly and has lots of outside seating and parking if you fancy popping if you’re passing through.
Hanworth Country Park has a warm, family run feel, with lodges and pods available too. We enjoyed stunning sunsets and sunrises, plus an unforgettable view of the 2026 Wolf Moon, which made the whole stay feel extra special.
All twelve of us had a wonderful time, and we’d definitely return. It was the perfect place to welcome the new year.

Me gustó The bar area is lovely and the dog walks are perfect. Showers could do with a bit updating but are perfectly good enough. Our second visit and we will return
