Electric grass touring pitch
Liked Easy check in system with names on a board allocated to pitches. Campsite was spotlessly clean - shower block was immaculate. Only one shower in both men and women’s toilets but never had to wait for longer than 5 minutes.
The campsite itself is secluded and peaceful with beautiful sunset and sunrise views. We had an issue with our camper during our stay and had to stay away from
The campsite for the night I called the owners and they were so understanding and assured us that they would take care of the equipment we had left at the camp.
On our return I called in to the bu galore to say that’ll you and they were just so kind and friendly.
Short walk to a country pub
Central to lots of towns, villages and zip world.
Disliked No allocated area for kids to play football. Because we had a larger patch of grass outside put pitch, kids chose to play football there and the ball hit various vans and cars. Not the fault of the campsite by any means. But maybe a small
Rule for children to play outside their pitch may be helpful for future?

Liked Spacious pitches, all relatively flat. Stayed on a grass pitch. Plenty of room.
Shower block was spotless. Water was hot and showers were powerful.
10 minute walk to the harbour, so perfect to get onto the coastal paths.
Disliked Pitches near the road were quite loud with constant traffic.

The Menage electric gravel touring pitch
Liked Good location. Close to the port of Dover. Excellent facilities, quiet site and beautiful views. Self check in is an excellent system and the chatty and friendly owner comes around to check every so often.
All facilities were spotless. It’s a “quiet site” where we welcomed the “no music” rule. We had music on quietly in our campervan but everyone was respectful of not having to listen to anyone else.
Disliked A bit pricey. But worth it for location and peace.

Electric grass and earth pitch
Liked This is one of the cleanest campsites I have ever stayed in. The owners, who are so friendly and welcoming, are constantly cleaning and ensuring that they give a friendly wave as you drive through.
The campsite is easy to find and check in is quick and easy. We loved the fact that we could choose our own pitch. The site itself is great for cycle routes and is around 20 minutes drive from Mont Saint Michel. There’s a restaurant across the road cooking traditional food. The site is around 50 minutes from Dinan and Dibard and an hour from Saint Malo. We also visited a very underrated Cancale… 40 minutes drive and absolutely wonderful for seafood.
The town of Avranches is also around 10 minutes drive away (there is a really helpful vet here if you travel with a pet).
Disliked Nothing.

Electric gravel and earth touring pitch (comfort)
Liked Close to Chateauneuf du Pape. Remote location but great if you like cycling. Staff were lovely. Bar was cheap. Can order bread etc the day before. Facilities were clean and showers were warm.
Disliked The resident dog wandered around the site of an evening. It would poo everywhere and owners don’t clean it up. It wanders into your site - not great if you have a pet of your own.

Electric forest floor touring pitch
Liked Location is close to the beach, shops and bars. Staff are really friendly and the site has a laid back vibe. It is our second time here, purely for the location.
Disliked The toilet blocks are like something out of a prison documentary. Showers are cold. Toilets are rank. Such a shame as the rest of the site is amazing.

Staff were friendly and the site was clean. Plenty to do for everyone. Good sized pool plus a separate kids area. Good showers and clean toilet facilities.

Disliked Pitches were very tight. If we had arrived any later I think we would’ve had to park in the carpark u til a space became available (Ford Transit)

Electric gravel touring pitch
Liked Plenty to do for families. Facilities were ok.
Disliked Gravel paths and many residentials. The noise on the gravel really spoiled our holiday. Especially as residents were leaving for work as early as 5:30am. It’s really got underneath a flight path and on a busy main road. No dog friendly beaches in the vicinity. Have to travel to shops u less you use the shop on site.

Liked We absolutely loved our stay at Camping Val de Cesse! Everything about this campsite exceeded our expectations – from the excellent facilities to the beautiful river access. The dog shower was a thoughtful touch that made traveling with our pet so easy.
The staff were wonderfully friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant on-site served delicious meals that quickly became a highlight of our stay. We also enjoyed the lighthearted entertainment in the evenings – fun and relaxed without being overwhelming.
The pitches are spacious, and we loved the freedom to choose our own spot. It made our stay feel even more personal. In fact, we enjoyed it so much that we extended our stay and still didn’t want to leave!
We will definitely be returning – Camping Val de Cesse is a real gem

Liked We loved it here. Small friendly campsite close the the local village and on a voie vert. Staff were welcoming, shared amenities were spotlessly clean and. The showers were excellent. Pitches were spacious. The local village had a few shops, a lovely restaurant and Monets water Lily gardens. Flat area to cycle.
Half hour to Pujols and Villeneuve sur lot. Close to other bastides also. Their website is easy to navigate and gives lots of ideas.
Disliked Nothing. Booked for 2 nights, stayed for 4.

Liked Close to lighthouse. Receptionistwaa welcoming.
Disliked Showers were disgusting. Bar was only open certain hours. I asked for Cheetos and was told “no, we are closing now”. It was 7:40pm. Pitch sizes were awful. We were lucky with ours but watched another couple try to sort their caravan to be told “if you hit us you will pay”

Disliked Groups of children running round the place and screaming did not make for a relaxing break. It’s is a shame as we loved the site itself. We left a day early.

Liked We absolutely loved it here. Arrival was quick and easy, we could pick our own pitch. Plenty for everyone to do. Swimming pool was well maintained and you could swim / SUP in lake. Close to the town of montelimar (could bike if you were that way inclined!)
Disliked Showers were a little dated and could do with a spruce up.
Dogs were not kept on leads and were being left to do “business” unattended near other people’s tents.

Liked Ideally situated close to the town and away from the noise of the main road. Check in was quick and easy and the pitches were flat and shaded. The site had a calm and chilled vibe. No loud music or children running about. The bar had a lovely view of the lake and was so relaxed in the evenings. We wish we had stayed longer than 2 nights.
Disliked Shower block was very crowded. Each night, the six showers were full and there was a queue of at least 8 people before me. They were quite dated and could do with a little refurbishment.

Robinson non-electric grass pitch
Liked The site was located in a quiet village about an hour and 15 minutes from Calais port. We stopped here for an overnight stay and it was easy to find using the satnav. Toilets were ample, clean. Owner was friendly. Site was well looked after, with a vegetable patch, mini farm and sandy playground for small children.
Disliked This is mainly a static caravan park. We have a transit campervan and struggled to get in and out of the allocated pitch. A larger camper /motor home would struggle. Ground was very uneven and no amount of ramps would’ve given us a flat surface.

Liked This is our third stay here. We are always greeted warmly by Maria and her staff and she will always try her best to accommodate our needs.
The site is situated right on the banks of the Dordogne and has easy access to the river for swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding. There is kayak hire right at the edge of the campsite.
The food served in the bar is always great quality and value for money.
The toilets are always clean and the showers are warm and fairly powerful.
The village is a short walk away (you can easily cycle this) and has a market day and a Casino shop that sells anything you may have forgotten.
Disliked Nothing. We love it here!
