Loved this campsite. Welcomed as soon…

Aug 2026

Liked Loved this campsite. Welcomed as soon as we arrived and shown to our large pitch. Most campsites have an etiquette of parking arrangements and so when we parked we were sideways on with our awning facing into the large grass area as was everyone else. Very clear and informative details given of amenities and the local area. The shower and toilet facilities were imaculate. Cafe and shop onsite. There is also a cricket pitch with it's own clubhouse open at weekends. There is a pub in the village but check opening times as this varies. Bus route nearby to York 30-40 mins. We also caught the bus into Easingwold 15mins. Lovely village with cafes, pubs etc, there was also a central bandstand with entertainment on which we were told happens weekly in the summer. Lots of lovely walks nearby. This is now in my top 5 campsites and will definitely return.

Liked Beautiful small campsite but with lots to offer. Welcomed as soon as we arrived and shown to our large spacious pitch. Also given a thorough run down of where all the amenities around the campsite were. There was also a well stocked honesty shop which added a nice touch. The campsite was well looked after with spotless showers/toilets. There was also a lake if you like fishing or for just walking around. The lake also had a summer house were you can sit and read, watch the wildlife and chill. This was also equipped with tea and coffee and a microwave and comfy sofas. Walking distance to the village which has a shop and lovely pub (with added cafe at the rear) there is also a working mans club. Lots of lovely walks with route markers to follow. Buses into nearby Scunthorpe if wanting to travel further.

Apr 2026

Liked Small cute little campsite to the rear of a lovely pub. Information given by Sue before arrival. 24hr access to toilets in pub. (No showers but does state this on website) EHU and grey waste disposal on plot, water tap and Elsan point onsite. Sue came to speak with us several times during our stay and offered advice re walks etc. If wanting food in pub need to pre order the day before. Enough room to put awning up and picnic bench provided on each plot. Lovely little village location with a further pub round the corner. Plenty of walks in the area. Ken the resident hawk provides much interest and can be found perched on the campsite (very majestic) Would stay again

Fab little hideaway

Mar 2026

Liked Beautiful spacious parking bays. We was fully serviced hard pitch. Excellent communication with very clear information of arrival details including barrier codes. Able to choose own pitch on arrival so chose at the top near toilets/showers. Welcomed by the owner as we set up with info of walks/pubs etc.

Great site, large pitches, friendly welcome. Will definitely be back.

Feb 2026

Liked Lovely peaceful little campsite. Pitches were fully serviced and large in size. Needed levelling blocks. Showers/toilets were spotless and hot. Gated site via code access which is sent via email on booking, which included lots of useful information of the area and how to access the campsite. Mark the owner came and checked we had arrived ok and gave extra information. The pub in the village (short walk 15mins) Snitterfield Arms serves great food (advise booking) There is also Cobbs farm shop with lovely locally sourced food/drinks and household items + cafe 5mins up the lane to the campsite. Uber into Stratford around £6-£10. Great walks all around.

Disliked There was a little road noise but this didn't bother us, (just turn the radio/TV up)
