Barely meadows is a fabulous campsite. Large pitches and we were lucky enough to have a pitch with a privacy hedge around it. The amenities block was spotlessly clean and there was plenty of hot water for showers every day. They have a large dog enclosure which our two dogs took full advantage of to let off some steam off lead. The reception has a wide range of goods on sale but if you walk Down the lane from the campsite the local farm also has a shop which also sell a huge array of goods from bbq food to ice cream. We would definitely recommend Barley meadows for a peaceful holiday while touring down south and we would love to return in the future.

super nice camp site, we liked the games room and each pitch had some privacy they even had a fenced grass area for dogs to run around, everything was really clean and had good facilities, would highly recommend

Everything about the site 😊! The site & facilities are lovely and clean. The pool table was a bonus! If you enjoy walking, it's a perfect location for fingle bridge and the village nearby has a fab community pub. Very chilled and peaceful site, we will definitely visit again!

We stayed for 2weeks and What wasn’t there to like about this site it is well kept, the pithes are very spacious toilet block are spotless everything you may need washing machine and tumble dryer, games room, everyday things you may need to buy at reception milk ,bread ,wine and more local farm on the door step well worth a visit, Dave and Leigh were always willing to help lovely couple will definitely be going back.

We had the best week, the site is beautiful - very well kept and maintained, our pitch was a good size and the pitches are spread out enough to give everyone privacy.
The facilities were spotless, the showers are the nicest I've ever used.
The couple running the site are very friendly and helpful.
The location is a great for walking with quite a few trails to follow, just be prepared for the hills!

What a find, a value for money, extremely clean and lovely located campsite for adults.
Staff are brilliantly friendly, booking in was a breeze at reception; getting in and out super easy with number plate recognition and pitches are very generous.
No problems with the hook ups, one way system on site road ensures no snarl up and toilets, waste disposal and drinking water taps easy to locate and use.
Will definitely be returning in time. Quite central to all the lovely places Devon has to offer. Can’t recommend enough. Definitely 5 star campsite…

We stayed at Barley Meadow in our classic VW camper van in August.

The site is very quiet, and is adult only. It is in the countryside on Dartmoor and is a rural retreat.

The showers and toilets were clean and very modern, and the grounds beautifully kept.

The area is lovely for walking and visiting Castle Drogo nearby.

Altogether lovely for some quiet time away. ❤️

The site is lovely and our only dislikes were to do with our personal preferences not the quality of the site.

I would have liked the showers to run for a bit longer with each press of the button.

Very peaceful site, dog friendly, great secure dog field helped ease our 2 reactive dogs into camp life with an area to let off steam. Our car battery died as we left the ignition on whilst setting the tent up, the site had a charger to hand so we were back up and running in no time.

The only downside my partner and I found was the disabled toilet is outdated compared to the main toilet block which is a shame for those that use.

We love staying at Barley Meadows as it's an adults only site. For a small site it's set out lovely. The evenings are peaceful and quiet which is why we returned here. It's kept clean and tidy with good facilities.
