What customers say

A well-kept, friendly spot with spotless facilities, even a clean loo. Spacious, level pitches boast lovely views. Owners are praised as welcoming and helpful. The on-site cafe and pizza delivery are convenient. Great for exploring local beaches and walks. Some mentioned no showers, but most loved it and want to come back.

Electric optional gravel motorhome pitch

Liked Great little sight with fantastic views. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The cafe food was good in the main with the exception of one dish, which was replaced by something different. The evening pizza delivery was a great touch and the pizza was excellent.

Electric optional gravel motorhome pitch

Liked The usual friendly, attitude from our hosts, quiet friendly camp site. It's becoming a home from home for us. We broke down on the way there and a quick call to Nick informing him of our late arrival sorted it out.

Electric optional gravel touring pitch (large)

Liked We really enjoyed it all, really welcoming and essential facilities done really well. Calm and peaceful and generous pitches. Lots of useful information in the “fun shed”! We really enjoyed our Pizza which our host delivered to our van door outside of cafe hours! A great base to explore the island and hills! The view of the mountains doesn’t disappoint!

Amazing access to the beach!

Disliked Only draw back is sharing the toilets with the Cafe in opening hours however, opening hours are 10-3 which gives you plenty of time to use it.

Local attractions

A drive along the Menai Strait takes you past National Trust - Plas Newydd House and Gardens (15 minutes’ drive), with a large mural by early 20th-century artist Rex Whistler, to Pili Palas Nature World (20 minutes), home to meerkats, lizards and butterflies. Continue on to Plas Cadnant Hidden Gardens (20 minutes) for strolls among woodland and past waterfalls. Alongside collections of archaeology and local crafts, Oriel Môn (20 minutes) also displays works by modern and contemporary artists such as Charles Tunnicliffe, known for his depictions of birds, and landscape painter Sir John Kyffin Williams. Cross the modern Britannia Bridge (or drive a little further to the Victorian Menai Suspension Bridge) and on to Caernarfon (half an hour), where a multiturreted medieval castle sits at the mouth of the river Afon Seiont. Stroll along the marina or climb up to the Caernarfon Tower for far-reaching views across the Menai Strait.
