What customers say

Quiet, well-priced spot with clean facilities, easy road access. Great for Ceredigion coast, pubs/towns nearby. Some pitches are close, occasional farm smells and noise reported.

Electric gravel touring caravan pitch (large)

Liked The toilet and shower block was clean and tidy. The water was always warm too! Added bonus off a coin operated laundry which is always handy. Option to purchase WiFi access.

Disliked Pitches weren't the biggest, even the large size. Which meant we were very close to neighbors either side. Some of the areas were looking a little unkept and over grown.

Electric gravel touring caravan pitch (large)

Liked Shower block was lovely clean and big space to get changed in and it had nice hot water. Laundrette was a bonus.
It was nice to be able to use sister camp made use of the outdoor heated swimming pool on a hot summer day and enjoyed the food there.

Disliked Poor tv signal and the flies were rediculous i didnt understand when there was plenty of spaces as the site was empty that the 1 space we were in was given out to new family on the day we were leaving so made packing up stressful as they were waiting for our pitch

Electric gravel touring caravan pitch (large)

Liked Lovely area and wasn't busy at all bathroom and showers where spotless very peaceful site. Very reasonably priced

Disliked Pictures on site didn't depict what the site actually looked like it was quite overgrown with weeds coming through the pitches. No telephone number to contact whoever runs the site. We needed this for when the men's toilet got stuck

Electric gravel touring caravan pitch

Liked Toilet block and launderette clean.

Disliked There was a really strong nauseous smell at the site. As we arrived another couple were going to look for an alternative site. We asked the owners to investigate and they immediately replied without coming to the site that a farmer was spreading slurry. There was also a loud continuous noise. There was no-one else on the site, just a few caravans that looked as though they had been left there. We were told that the smell would probably go. We stayed a couple of hours but the smell made you heave. It permeated the caravan. There was no way you could cook anything as the smell was so strong. We could not see any farmer around and we live in a rural area and are used to country smells. This was nothing like we had smelt before. We had no choice but to find another site. We asked for a refund from Vale which they have given us. I think because of their reply they had had similar complaints before.

Electric gravel touring caravan pitch (large)

Liked Very easy access from the main road, but despite this there was no road noise. All the facilities were very clean and in good condition. Grass had been recently cut around the pitches. Excellent central location for access to the Ceredigion coast. The site was very quiet. Excellent value for money. Our internet and phone connection were fine. Swimming pools and other facilities available to use at nearby sister site.

Disliked The pitches are a little closer together than we would like, but the site was not busy when we were there, so this wasn't an issue. Didn't use the WiFi as there was an extra charge after the first 15 minutes.

Electric gravel touring caravan pitch

Liked Lovely tidy, clean site. Straight off the A487 so easy to access.
Right next to a nice pub with good food within walking distance.
Lovely shower/toilet block regularly cleaned.
New Quay and Aberaeron both within 10 or so minutes drive, with beaches, restaurants etc.

Disliked Pitches very close together as small site, however it was empty so all good.
On the Saturday night there was a party happening close by with loud music late into the evening. Not the sites fault of course, but was fairly irritating!

Local attractions

National Trust - Llanerchaeron (15 minutes’ drive) was designed by John Nash (of London’s Clarence House fame). Visit the elegant interiors of this Regency villa, walking past period furniture and artworks, to feel like a Welsh aristocrat of yesteryear, then head to the walled garden, where hundred-year-old trees still produce delicious organic fruit. The two beaches in Aberystwyth (40 minutes) are separated by the Royal Pier, which is home to an arcade, assorted dining options and plenty of alfresco seating – all accompanied by splendid views of the town. The sights at the top of Constitution Hill (including a Camera Obscura) can be reached via the Aberystwyth Cliff Railway. In addition to hiking and mountain-biking trails of varying difficulties, Bwlch Nant yr Arian Forest (50 minutes) is known for the daily spectacle of the red kites feeding. Be sure to be by the lake in time for the 2pm winged frenzy.
