  • Hardstanding motorhome pitches in the Trossachs Pier car park
  • On the banks of Loch Katrine with direct access to the Trossachs Trail
  • Loch cruises, cycle hire, a café, scenic tower and gift shop on site
You’ll be cruising over Loch Katrine in no time once you’ve parked up at Trossachs Pier in Stirlingshire. This historic setting by the banks of the loch is in one of the UK’s largest National Nature Reserves, the Great Trossachs Forest. The hardstanding pitches are in the Trossachs Pier car park at Loch Katrine, so going from your motorhome to inside a steamship only takes a short stroll. The passenger cruises depart at frequent intervals every day. Try to grab a spot on the Sir Walter Scott steamship, which has sailed on the loch since 1900. At Trossachs Pier, there are cycle hire facilities, a café, a scenic tower and a gift shop. Of course, you might want to explore wider Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park too, and handily, the site is on the 40-mile Trossachs Trail which is packed with stunning scenery and attractions including Ben A'an, Callander, Aberfoyle and Doune Castle. More hiking and cycling trails are easy to track down. There’s plenty to get busy with, so when you arrive back at base, it’s good to know you have a solid set of facilities to fall back on including access to toilets and showers (both are only available at an additional charge). The pitches are allocated across the car park.

Liked: Second time here and love how peaceful it is from 5pm until 930am. It's never too busy. Cafe is lovely and the staff are really friendly and helpful. It's great to have use of a toilet and they have electric if you want for and extra 25 a night. Pre booking recommended.

Electric optional hardstanding motorhome pitch (XL)

Liked: Nice friendly staff and great price. Fantastic location and taking the Sir Walter Scott steam boat to Stronachlacher was fun. The walk back (via the North Loch path) was enjoyable although don't be a fool like me and lug 20kg of camera equipment on your back!!!

Disliked: Not a dislike as such, but would be great if there were a sink/washing up area. Wifi was a bit patchy but I didn't come here to surf the web!!

From the manager: Sorry to hear that you felt your stay did not meet your expectations. Sadly the storm and resulting powercut which affected the whole region was outwith our control however we do have water points available throughout the site buth behind a number of charging posts as well as a communal tap on the side of the toilet block. I apologise if this was not made clear to you at the time. We hope to see you again in the future.
