What customers say
This is a decent, friendly campsite next to a welcoming pub. Guests love the spot, value, and lekker food. Facilities are okay, showers are R40 for 6 mins. Some reckon toilets can get scarce when busy and showers sometimes aren't hot enough. Still, it's a peaceful, good value option.

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Spot on site behind the pub excellent for what we needed in terms of running and swimming sites.
I'd use as a base for activities in the area. The pub folk were incredibly welcoming and the food was great and well priced.
Had a very chilling weekend and will be back
Disliked Needs more loos actually in the campsite, the camping ones were ok but the motion activated one was a pain in the bum especially when you were concentrating on the bum but trying to motion activate.

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Nice level site in a beautiful village, behind a very welcoming pub. The staff were all absolutely lovely.
Had a good evening meal and a cracking breakfast.
Disliked I was only aware of 1 shower on site, which for the size of the site seemed inadequate.
If there were more then these needed to be clearly marked as I didn’t see them. The shower was also coin operated, 2 x £1 for 6 minutes. If you are a family this becomes costly. When you have already paid for a pitch to put your tent up, it seems somewhat unfair to then add a charge for a shower.

Disliked Paying £2 for a shower
The motion sensor lights in the toilet went off after 7 seconds! Could do with being a bit longer….

Non-electric grass touring pitch
Liked Lovely large field behind the pub. Small toilet block, spotlessly clean, a shower £2 charge and washing up point. Lovely and quiet overnight.
Great pub with friendly owners and locals. Didn't eat, but the food looked great and reasonably priced. Will definitely return.

Bell tent
Liked Really lovely location and friendly staff. We stayed to break up a journey and visit Longleat and were pleased to get a last minute glamping pod just for one night in the school holidays at a great price. The set up was great with cute little lights, camp beds and a table to sit at outside. It was nice to take in the sunset while the children happily played frisbee in the middle of the field. The pub and garden is gorgeous with games, a games room, good menu and entertainment on certain nights.
Disliked No fault of the campsite but the cows next door must have just been separated from their calves as they cried loudly ALL night. As I wake at noise it did hinder my sleep so maybe take earplugs but any other time it would be very peaceful and my kids slept through no problem

Disliked The facilities were ok by the Pub. It did look like they were building some on the Camping field so hopefully will be better in the future
