What customers say

This little, chilled campsite has great country views & spotless ablutions. The farm shop's well-stocked, hosts are lekker and friendly. Proximity to a top pub is a big plus. Access roads can be a bit tight, but most folk loved it and want to come back.

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked Quiet and peaceful pub over the road serves nice food and a great little village shop and post office which sells most items pasty’s are lovely

Disliked Pitches are uneven and in all honesty looks nothing like the photos the site is on uneven ground with 3 levels of pitches not much room for awning and when you do get it up your close to next pitch not really a site for caravans more suited to tents
Took nearly 20mins to fill aqua roll from the water points
There is a mass amount of open fires going on day and night it turns into a smoke pit to be honest and not a very pleasant experience
The roads coming in are a bit bad also the locals in pub laugh when you say your in a caravan it’s about 5 miles of single track lanes to reach site not pleasant in a 8ft wide unit
In all not a great site good be much better

From the manager: This review is unfair on all counts.

As any reader will see all our other guests love this site and often return many times. This guest arrived and was exceptionally rude to the owner. Time was spent finding a suitable pitch and accomodating their needs. We even gave them a generous voucher to use in the pub as a gesture of goodwill but clearly this was unappreciated.

Clearly a more commercial site on a main road would be more suitable for this guest as obviously do not appreciate the beautiful country location in which we are located.

Team at Brewery Farm.

A great find will definitely be returning

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked Beautiful site, plenty of room for awning. Clean well maintained. Facilities clean, great showers. Friendly owners. Wifi was added bonus. The inn over the road was great, for drinks and food. Handy local shop on site. Amazing walks, and places to visit near by.

Disliked Going home, nothing else to dislike.

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked View from the pitch that we had is wonderful - views across Dorset countryside.
Brilliant walk guide available from the reception is well worth the £2 donation.
Very friendly and helpful owners.
Pub over the road is superb.
Shop is a proper village store, with Post Office, not just a camp shop.
Toilets and showers are modern and clean. Functional rather than luxurious, but this IS camping!

Disliked Nothing really.
No playground for kids (which is a bonus for us as ours are in their 30s), so any children have to make their own wholesome mischief.

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked Spacious quiet location with plenty of walks and nice pub across the road

Disliked Getting to it with a caravan in tow through the winding streets was a bit treacherous and no staff to be keen so very strange not to be checked in etc

From the manager: Thanks for your review.

Our site is quite small so we cannot always be available in the office to welcome guests. But should there have been any issues phone numbers are clearly displayed and we are always pleased to help.

Hope to see you again.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Brilliant location, scenic site, great shop and pub very close by. Logs and fire pits available for a small and very reasonable cost. Clean shower blocks and large pitch sizes. Can’t fault it and will hope to come back again.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked This is a lovely smaller campsite with excellent facilities. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and having the farm shop and pub so close by made it even better. We went for the weekend and didn't need to leave the site at all.

Disliked WiFi wasn't great in all locations but that didn't bother us.

Local attractions

If beaches are your bag, you’ve hit the big time here as the Jurassic Coast is studded not just with fossils but also sandy coves and rocky inlets: Lulworth Cove is a 40-minute drive away, and if you fancy something wilder, Winspit beach is accessible only by a footpath from Worth Matravers (45 minutes). Another fine way to explore the coast is to make for Weymouth or Poole, both half an hour away, for a boat cruise. Both towns are crammed with further family-friendly attractions including funfairs and an aquarium in Weymouth, and slides and chutes and waterfalls at Poole’s Splashdown waterpark. Monkey World and the Tank Museum are also around half an hour away. For an easy way to see the chalk hills and valleys of inland Dorset, take a seat on the Swanage Railway (50 minutes) for steam rides between the coast and Corfe Castle (40 minutes by car). The castle is well worth clambering over; if anyone’s missing the water, make for the nearby Dorset Waterpark for floating inflatable obstacle courses in a wooded lakeland setting. For another day out with a difference, the graceful residents of Abbotsbury Swannery (45 minutes) were once kept by local monks for the purposes of scoffing at banquets. You can now visit the country's only nesting colony of mute swans and feed them, as well as get lost in the maze, hurtle about the adventure playground and roam the nearby subtropical gardens.
