What customers say
Generally good reviews for this big, neat campsite. Spacious pitches, clean, friendly staff. Families love the pool, playgrounds, and dog walks. Facilities usually clean, though some find them a bit old or have water temp/pressure issues. Can be noisy when busy.

Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Out door grounds are nicely kept, friendly staff, big pitches. The woodland walk was lovely. The riding centre is a great bonus and all the staff there were great.
Lots to do on site and nearby.
It has the potential to be a fantastic site that we would visit year after year, unfortunately there just needs to be some extra care taken with cleaning the pool and certain indoor areas. Great site, just a bit unloved in places.
Disliked The pool was so dirty, murky with lots of debris on the bottom. There was a strong smell of urine around the pool area.
Showers and toilet blocks could have done with a deep clean.
We couldn't find any straightforward information about what children's activities were on offer, how much they were and when they were on.

Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Lovely large pitches, not overcrowded and well kept grounds
Disliked Cleanliness of facilities wasnt up to standard at all, pretty sure they were only cleaned once a day and it wasnt sufficient for the amount of people using them. Swimming pool changing rooms absolutely stunk and was dirty nappies on the floor in the changing room

Great campsite for camping and touring. We will return again.
Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Option to check in on any day and not a minimum of so many nights stay.
We had a lovely pitch with open grass area near by for children to play. Hops walking distance to facilities and entertainment.
Our children loved the childrens entertainment they had great fun.
Disliked Shower areas weren't always the cleanest. But this would be down to other campers who didn't squigey the floors after their use. Maybe more could be provided in these areas rather than just one.

Activities great, not impressed overall
Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked The activity center was good when it rained and Maria who was running it was fabulous with all the kids.
The archery was really good too.
The space for the kids to run around and have freedom was great.
Disliked I have never been to a campsite where things get stolen so fast.
One of our group left a jumper on a chair, returned 10 minutes later to discover it was gone. This was the same with a pair of shorts and a bottle of fairy liquid ( throughout the week)
When we asked the staff about it we were just told " not here mate" and then one member of staff said " it might be in the maintenance room but it can take weeks to be reported. Didn't even offer to have a look for us.
I also watched the cleaners enter the laundry/ washing up room, have a look and sign the sheet on the wall to say it had been cleaned when there was in fact mud all over the floor and sides.
One of our party had to leave one evening but was returning the next day to discover someone had put a caravan on his pitch and was told he would have to move pitches. He was then moved to a pitch that also had a caravan on it still but told to just use the space beside it as the staff couldnt remove the caravan until the next day.
Dogs were also pooing all over the grass pitches and where kids were playing.
