  • Family park near the north Norfolk coast, three miles from Sheringham
  • Walkers' paradise with easy access to wide uncrowded beaches
  • Playground, clubhouse, lounge bar, family bar and shop
Take your wheels along for scenic stays in a peaceful coastal setting in a National Landscape at Woodlands Caravan Park, a smart modern site with stacks to do for all ages. When you’re not out and about venturing around the Norfolk coast and inland – famed Sheringham beach is three miles away from here and both Norwich and the Broads within easy reach for day trips – the park is a comfy base to keep all fed, watered and entertained. There’s a big and enclosed play area with climbing frames, swings and slides; the site also has plenty of room to run around if energy levels are still high afterwards. Options await when it’s time to refuel: a lounge bar for adults with an additional family area, and a clubhouse serving pizzas to eat in or take away (the bar also has regular entertainment on a Saturday night in peak season). The site shop sells groceries and ice cream as well as newspapers and camping bits and pieces; gas and electric barbecues are allowed (no charcoal constructions, ta). Amenities include a well-maintained shower and toilet block with disabled facilities, baby changing and underfloor heating. Woodland is firmly dog friendly too: your dogs can accompany you for a small additional fee. It's also based on a bus route, making transport easy.

Liked: Lovely clean site with excellent shower and toilets. On site water taps are all over the site so no need to walk far.very peaceful place which is great to just relax.
Sheringham park is next door and is a great place to take the dog and explore.
Also has a onsite pub with a couple of pool tables which is nice.

Disliked: Most of the site is situated on 2 sloped fields, the better pitches are on the bottom field which is flatter.
When we got there we noticed these flat pitches all had Revised on them so we cannot pitch up there, but all the while we were there not one caravan or motor home turn up to picth up on them !!
Thw wifi is really bad we cannot connect as no signal at all.
The pub could do with a makeover as its very 1970s decor.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked: Just returned for a pleasant 2 night stay at Woodlands Caravan Park.

Nice clean and well spaced out site, on arrival you are given an information sheet. The receptionist explains how they would like you to park up to give you maximum then you could choose where you’d like to set up for your stay.

There are 2 touring pitches, we chose field one, on the left as you come in, this is less sloped than the other field, but the pitches are huge!

Toilets/showers and washing up facilities are very clean and tidy, plenty of choice as 2 block each or male and female.

Good onsite facilities with shop with essentials in reception, there is also and bar and food which we didn’t visit on this occasion.

Sheringham is about 10 mins drive away!

Site provides WiFi but cuts off ever 3 hours, not the strongest of signals but does what you need.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked: The site was spacious, clean and tidy and very quiet. Pitches were a very good size and very level. Shower and toilet facilities were very warm, lots provided and again very spacious. Bar was a good place to visit with decent bar meals provided. Location was great for walks through the forest into National Trust park lands and you can walk to Sherringham, a lovely market town.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked: On arrival the lady in reception was very friendly, polite & helpful. You could choose your pitch, which I prefer rather than being assigned somewhere. Most grass pitches in the first field were fairly flat. Only need to go to second level on the chocks. The park was quiet even though we were fairly near the bar. There’s a nice walk from the park through the woods & country park to Sherringham. We were told it was ok to cycle this way, it wasn’t easy but better than cycling along the very busy main road. The shower and toilets were very clean.

Disliked: Absolutely NO hot water for our entire stay.

Local attractions

This handsome part of Norfolk is part of the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, home to swathes of uncrowded beaches for family days, dog walks, watersports and nature spotting. The closest beaches are Sheringham, 35 minutes' walk away, and Cromer (15 minutes' drive), both also home to historic seaside towns drawing visitors to Norfolk seaside hols since Victorian times. Birdwatchers and nature spotters are well placed too: species of all sorts can be spotted around the area as well as at Sheringham and Cromer. The National Trust’s Blakeney National Nature Reserve, 20 minutes’ drive away, is a fine spot to start your ornithological exploits, at its four miles of shingle, sand dunes, mudflats and salt marshes; also try birdwatching around the Cley Marshes (start at the visitor centre in Cley next the Sea, 15 minutes’ drive away), and the Salthouse Marshes a couple of miles east of Cley. For adventures further afield, the shopping, sightseeing, visitor attractions and restaurants of Norwich are 50 minutes away, and the waterways and more wildlife of the Broads within 40.
