  • Traditional and welcoming pub site at the foot of the Malvern Hills
  • Three miles from the Three Counties Showground
  • Dogs welcome on site and in the pub; menu of Indian street food
It's just as well for one's waistline that the Malverns have some of the best hiking and ramble routes in the land – for there's a tasty menu of North Indian cuisine to get through at The Marlbank Inn. And it's just as well that said walks are simple to access too, as you might be a tad full after sampling said menu: the inn and its campsite are at the foot of the Malvern Hills within easy reach of scenic and slimming walks. The Marlbank Inn is in rural Worcestershire, close to geocaching and treasure trails, fishing and bike rides, and Worcestershire Golf Club for gentle teeing off. Events and shows are easily sorted from here too, as the Three Counties Showground is within three miles. The Marlbank is a traditional and welcoming country pub, with a sheltered camping field well placed for handsome views over the hills. Family attractions like Ice Quest Malvern and a leisure centre with pool are within 15 minutes' drive. Facilities include toilets and showers, drinking water, an undercover washing-up area and disabled facilities, along with chemical disposal and ice pack freezing. Dogs are welcome on site and in the pub.

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked: Small, friendly pub with great service and food! The hard standing pitches were a good size with electric hook up. Washing facility were basic and practical. Toilets were inside, we didn't use the showers but the toilets were perfectly fine.
The food in the pub was fantastic and considering we booked a table for 9 people and there were lots of other tables booked it was brilliant service. Lively atmosphere with beer garden which music was played in throughout the day which we like (husband was very happy with the large tv playing the rugby in the sofa area! Son was very happy with the pool table). Also very dog friendly and the fact you can take your pup in the pub for drinks and food is so handy, esp if weather isnt great. Lovely location with a walking trail perfect for dogs across the road over the field. Something for everyone here. Liked the notice with the distance to shops and number for takeaway services who would deliver to the pub, thoughtful and handy.
Ignore the bad reviews, some people seem to be petty and moan about anything. It all depends what you are looking for but the pictures and description are a good idea of what to expect.
Thanks for a great time - we shall be back for short weekends frequently.

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked: Nothing

Disliked: All of it ! Terrible pitches and rubbish piled up in one corner a pothole or man hole with no cover on it Also no water available the waste disposal was in an old wooden shed covered in weeds the showers and toilet were in the pub ( who knows what they looked like ). We payed £90 for 3 nights but couldn’t bring ourselves to stay here so we moved to another site which we had to pay another £45 for 2 nights, I have sent a email to the owners explaining why we didn’t stay and asked for a refund but as of now we have had no reply, do your self a favour save your and stay away from the Marlbank inn farm.

Electric grass tent pitch

Liked: I had a fantastic stay at this campsite! There was plenty of room to set up, so even during busy times it never felt overcrowded. One of the best features was the on-site pub – it served genuinely good food, perfect after a long day of hiking. The facilities were spotless and well-maintained throughout our stay, which made a big difference. The location is ideal, with easy access to all the main hiking routes in the area. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient base for outdoor adventures.

Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked: Small and secluded looked-after camp site. Made to feel welcome by Andy, shown simple facilities and able to choose spot to camp. Parked in the Marlbank Inn car park and only a short walk to set up my tent. Later that evening had a memorable time in the Marlbank. Will definitely return for a longer stay to enjoy the excellent cuisine being served along with the Wye Valley Nightjar stout. Well located to pop up to The Malvern Hills and nice to hear the dawn chorus.

Local attractions

After all those Malvern Hills hikes (for that really is a mighty fine menu in The Marlbank Inn), set off for indoor and outdoor days around the Malverns and its countryside. Days out for families include laser questing and ice skating at Ice Quest Malvern; taking the self-guided Spy Mission treasure trail around the hills, and pummelling clay into submission at Green Frog Pottery, 15 minutes' drive away. Kids – and grownups – of a certain sort might also like the Malvern Museum of Local History; if not, Ledbury's 19th-century Eastnor Castle has regular events including family days and sword fighting sessions (foam swords, you may be somewhat relieved to hear). Both museum and castle are 10 minutes' drive away. For a peaceful day out, drive 25 minutes to the meadow valleys, orchards and woodland of The Knapp and Papermill Nature Reserve, to look out for woodpeckers and nuthatches, dormice and bats (the reserve has 11 of the UK's 15 breeding species). Pick up a free trail leaflet or buy a family trail guide and information booklet at the visitor centre, to head out after another bite to eat in the picnic area.
