  • Quiet site on a Leicestershire field 10 minutes’ drive from Hinckley
  • Mallory Park or Bosworth Battlefield Heritage Centre 10 minutes’ drive
  • Seasonal produce in the farm shop; breakfast and lunch available
Leicestershire bound? Perhaps you’ll end up at Bradshaw Farm, a site on a working farm situated between the two rural villages of Stapleton and Dadlington, with Hinckley 10 minutes’ drive away. Pitches are on a nicely level field, and there are simple shared shower facilities. Every last weekend of the month (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) and on bank holidays, the site has a range of wine, beer and spirits for guests to buy. There’s also a well-stocked farm shop across the road, where you can pick up seasonal fruit, veg, fresher-than-fresh organic produce and home-grown plants; you can order a hearty cooked breakfast and tasty lunch there too. If you’re looking for a decent selection of pubs and restaurants to try, Hinckley (10 minutes’ drive) is the place to head for; you can top up on any other supplies from the supermarkets while you’re there. In general, this place is a fine choice if you want to get away for some R&R in the countryside.

Non-electric grass pitch (pet friendly)

Liked Peaceful

Quiet
Owners very nice, kind and welcoming. I must say when I first arrived the look on the wife’s face said it all. Poetaloos and a shower in a shed, but we couldn’t have been more wrong if we tried. What an absolute delight to step off the planet. Absolutely(almost) back to basics, and this was wonderful. Toilets and showers clean, scenery beautiful, and the owners are absolutely amazing. And even saw the little piggies!!! Thanks again will visit soon

Non-electric grass pitch (pet friendly)

Liked This was my young daughter's first camping experience and we booked two days before to try out our tent on a non rainy weekend. The team at Bradshaw Farm were very welcoming, pointing out the amenities and places to pitch up. One bonus is it is a pleasant 2 mile walk across fields and along the canal to get to the Bosworth Battlefield where we spent the afternoon. We ran out of time to visit the ponies and animals on the farm but hipe to return to see them next time.

Bell tent (six person, basic)

Liked Fantastic site! Easy to find! Nice canel walk nearby to get ice cream, booked basic tent and wow what an amazing space for a fantastic price. Tent had a little light and a garden bench at the side. Portaloos were very clean. Kids loved playing frisby in the field. I was arriving later than check in time says but when I contacted the host she was really friendly and understanding. Would 100% recommend!

Non-electric grass pitch (pet friendly)

Liked Great Site. Just what we needed. Peaceful and quiet, easy to access. Very accommodating when we rang saying we would be later than expected.

Disliked Nothing. Just the grass needed a cut but i don't mind...its good for nature... just my mum panicked that she was going to drive the motorhome into something/mud etc, but not a complaint at all, just a note!

When golf is your game, you’ll be pleased to know there are several courses within about 20 minutes’ drive of the site. For watching high-octane pursuits like motor-bike racing, you’ll have to catch the right day at Mallory Park Racing Circuit (10 minutes’ drive). If you’d like to know more about the infamous King Richard III, whose remains were found in a Leicester car park, visit his royal tomb at the King Richard III Visitor Centre (40 minutes). Still in the city, you can clamber aboard rockets at the National Space Centre, and let off steam in East Street Lanes bowling alley (both make great choices for any rainy days with the offspring).
