What customers say
Basic site, great Peak District exploring. Stunning views, top-notch ice cream from next door dairy. Friendly staff, especially with mud. BUT, no loos or showers, and pitches can get boggy. Parking can be a bit chaotic with the busy parlour.

Electric grass touring pitch
Liked Site was quiet, very handy for what we required, Hostilery was within walking distance and the added bonus of a gelato cafe on site.
Disliked The definition of a grass pitch as against hard standing was 🤔

Overall a brilliant little campsite
Electric gravel and hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Locality, great walks, fab ice cream
Disliked I knew going that there was no toilet or showers, but it would have been great even if there was a temporary toilet in the campsite and a basic wash facility in such heat.

Good campsite close to attractions. Can get a bit windy but expected
Electric grass touring pitch
Liked Onsite made ice cream and untreated milk is to die for. Pitches are of a good size although grass pitches are very uneven and lots of leveling required. Site is well located for Bakewell, Buxton and Monyash. Great food served in the Royal Oak at Hurdlow just over half a mile away. It's interesting to watch the cows milk themselves in the walk in machine. Great site and as this is the second time we've stayed here we will be back again I'm sure
Disliked Only one water tap. Grey and black waste required you to lift a man-hole cover which is large and quite heavy. This needs to improve if nothing else changes. When the ice cream shop is open at busy weekend then camp-site seems to become an overflow car park despite plenty of other parking available. This seems to be due to a lack of consideration from customers and poor signage on behalf of the dairy. Parking and camping area are not managed as such.
