Your original booking via pitch-up was for a standard pitch (electric) and I understand that when you arrived you asked for a full serviced pitch (electric, waste water, fresh water and chemical toilet waste) which we were pleased to be able to provide, obviously with you paying the difference. We are a working farm and at the time of your visit the cattle had been brought into the barns close to the park as we were having our obligatory TB testing. The cattle were a little noisy at times as they didn't appreciate being in. Apologies for this but there are some tasks that are unavoidable. Thank you for drawing our attention to the discrepancy in the advertised arrival times on the Pitch-up web pages we have made the necessary alterations to ensure it reads correctly to help others. However, you arriving early wasn't an issue and you were booked in quickly and were able to go straight off onto your allocated pitch. It's a pity if you didn't really get the best weather for visiting the beautiful surrounding countryside and many local attractions, sadly that is something outside our our control. |

Thanks for your thoughts on the smaller gravel used on some areas of the park and letting us know that you prefer the larger gravel. It's tricky as you'd have thought the smaller gravel would make it more comfortable under the groundsheets of the awnings but the flip side is that it can catch in the tread of some types of shoes more easily. We'll give this further consideration. |

We apologise if you were disappointed with the service in Poppies Restaurant. We'll certainly look into this and try to help the franchisee make improvements to her menu. Hopefully on your next visit you will find things more to you liking.
