Nice and quiet location. Lovely little forest for the kids to walk around. We were in a tent but I bet great if have a caravan as then can be situated by the lakes which looked lovely. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would stop there again

Only feedback I would give is to maybe use the small field area by the forest as a recreational field so that people can play ball games etc

This is the friendliest site I have ever stayed at! The site owners couldn’t do enough for me, so friendly and helpful. The other people staying on the site, tourers and seasonal pitches were so friendly and nice. So quiet at night time! I had a lake side pitch and it was so peaceful. Lovely walks from the campsite. Highly recommended and I will definitely return.

Phil and Mandy run a vary clean site with fantastic fishing lakes. The 4 lakes cater for all levels of experience.
Phil and Mandy are very friendly and welcoming and were amazing with my two young daughters.
The shop has essentials that you may need during your stay and a selection of bait and accessories. The toilet and shower facilities were very clean and well looked after as were the clothes washing facilities.
The other people staying onsite were also very friendly and respectful. The Wifi was not working but I found this a godsend as it gets you off of your devices and back to enjoying family time.
I would highly recommend this site and will definitely be returning.

Fishing was decent, lovely woodland setting, friendly staff, clean toilets and showers.

Sited extremely close to each other. Mostly seasonal but a nice sunny weekend, everyone was there! Very little phone and WiFi connection, no shops for 8-10 miles in any direction (the 'shop' onside sold sweets, biscuits, some cans of pop and cereal). It rained overnight and we were flooded out - not their fault obviously.

We stayed at this great campsite at the end of may. This family run campsite is immaculately clean; has great fishing lakes and is full of very friendly people.

The owner Phil was full of banter and really friendly coming around and speaking to everyone and having a crack with me about fishing and the lack of fish I caught😂.

The 4 fishing lakes were full of huge fish (most of which I couldn’t catch) mainly because It was spawning season - I have attached a photo of the fish I caught for Phil to put on the wall of legends 🎣

Not a huge thing but paying 20/50p is a pain for showers but the site is that clean and cheap that it’s very minor.

Great course fishing on all lakes, very friendly people in charge of the campsite and fellow campers, nice local pubs, campsite very clean and well kept and I will definitely be going back to visit later this year. 5 star all round from me and my grandson
