Big site, but very nice, would recommend.

The overall feeling of space was delightful. We heard about 20 different bird species here including Siskin and Greater Spotted Woodpecker. The staff were welcoming and efficient. Hoddom Castle provided a unique backdrop with resident jackdaws caring incessantly.
The electric card was easy to use and a big boon, considering that we used as much electricity as anywhere else for maybe 20% of the price

There was no wifi at all which would have been helpful if only near the reception area

The setting in the grounds of the castle.how the pitches were spaced, and laid out. Free showers.
You only paid for the electricity you used ,cost us 30p used hair dryer toaster,kettle and other appliances.
Really good food and drinks on site .

Sliding of the toilet blocks need updating but where spotless.

Hard standing pitches with good drainage. The grass between the pitches gave a great feeling of privacy and space. Being in a camper we felt we had been sited closer to the facilities which was very welcome given that it pretty much rained all day! The site was clean, would have been lovely to explore (except for the rain!) and very quiet. There were lots of toilets and showers all very clean and well maintained. The laundry and washing up area was warm and bright. We loved the idea of the Katy’s Coo kiosk but didn’t need to use it this time, but at least there would always be milk (and milkshakes). The prepaid electric cards were a good idea. The shop was well stocked too. We didn’t take advantage of the restaurant or bar this time.

Fab park with great play area for kids, nice pub with good food and just overall a great location.

Check out can be a bit hetic with caravans blocking the exit road and car park.

Sloping grass at side made doing anything in the awning difo

Pitches large with grass in between...showers hot and long ie no push buttons !...bar etc dog friendly...lovely trails on site
