Beautiful place to stay

Large, well spaced out pitches. Lots of mature trees and green spaces. Beautiful walks direct from site. Toilets and showers kept very clean. Enjoyed a couple of nights in the bar in the old castle.

Distance to the chemical disposal from the touring pitches. Could do with an additional more central one. Ours doesn't have wheels and not keen on putting it in the car boot to drive down.

Location was beautiful. Pitches were a great size.

Men’s toilets needed improvement. Leaking and not looked after. We were told they were aware work needed to be done. This was a few months ago so may have been sorted.

Lovely setting. Spacious level pitches.

Only 1 chemical waste disposal point and it's quite a walk to get to it.

Amazing night and stay. Beautiful place to lay my head and so Peaceful with nature. Would return in a heartbeat and planning to bring the family back next time 🫂🫂🫂

Friendly welcome with all the facilities and amenities you'd need.
Well laid out with lots of space between pitches.
Mostly clean and tidy.
The servicing point is good... ideal for grey water disposal either in smaller drains around the site for containers or a drive over drain for motorhomes.
Toilet disposal was good and there was plenty of water supplies around the site.
Electric is quite close to the pitch and, although a little bit of a faff inserting a card issued by reception and having to go back for any refund in the morning, it was OK.
The grounds are lovely and there are some excellent walks on the doorstep.

The shower/toilet blocks are, like so many sites, old and tired.
They are clearly cleaned but there's only so much they can do with facilities that could probably do with being refurbished.
Fortunately they don't seem to clean higher up so all the cobwebs catch the bugs! We chose to use the facilities in our vehicle instead.

Location, set in an old castle grounds so a big site with easy access and lovely walks.

Shame not able to visit castle but understandable

Location, amenities and staff - walks onsite, showers and toilets a plenty and also really clean and powerful and the staff are super friendly and helpful
As a solo female traveller I felt really safe even with just me in the field
Really liked that the electric hook up was paid for and then refunded for whatever you don’t use - such a good way of doing it
10/10, I’ll be back as soon as the weather is less cold!
