The food at the restaurant was excellent and the people are so friendly and helpful. There is a nice wee games room and a few nice walks. The grounds are well cared for and the shop sells most things that you might forget. There was also varied entertainment on at the bar.

The pitches are not particularly level and there were a lot of flies, especially around the service point. The showers were also quite far away and the tv reception wasn’t great

The pub closed Monday to Wednesday which were the busiest they must have lost loads money.
The entry time2.30, lost a day just getting there and setting up to find out the pub was shut had to travel to get food
The new electric metres went down rather quickly for the price of pitch, dearer than it should be!!
Its kind off putting us off coming back!!!

We stayed at one of the huts and it was incredibly nice! Plenty of space for 4 people. Outside was quiet with loads of space for the kids to play freely and safely. We had access to the cook hut which was a bonus with basic appliances to cook. Kids enjoyed the playground and the walks around the campsite. We also enjoyed the live music at the restaurant.
Really pleased with the facilities as well. Always spot cleaned. Shower rooms where also amazing! Big enough and clean (which is what you need!!)
We loved it and will definitely be back!!

Weather on Monday. But that’s not the site’s fault

The space, pitches are big and spaced well apart. The area is well maintained with grass cut regularly. There are excellent walks close by. The view from Repentance Hill is well worth the steep but short climb. The food in the stable yard restaurant was very good. One of the best home made soups of the days we have tasted.

Everything, lovely clean campsite with a great welcome. Bar was well stocked, ate in the restaurant which was lovely. All staff were friendly and helpful. It’s a dogs paradise, especially if you have an active dog. Lots of forest walks and they are able to get in the river via the golf course. WiFi is only in the coach house but i got a decent signal on site.

Will definitely be back and maybe to try one of your pods
