Liked: It was such a well run site with great facilities, the staff really helpful and lots of nice fellow campers. They liked after the grounds really well and clean too.

Shop functional - but quite basic ( no bread for example ) and with limited opening hours ( 9-10 am and 5-6pm)
Stayed on grass pitch with electric hookup- no issues with pitch etc

Liked: Lots of space. Excellent facilities. Efficient booking in on a Sunday evening when Reception was unmanned. Perfect location for canoe trip on River Wye. Will definitely return.

Disliked: On site shop with very little stock (no bread no milk) Hot food only served Monday,Wednesday and Friday evenings On the Monday we were there no hot food being served due to staff shortages

Liked: Absolutely everything. Very friendly owners and staff. Very clean. Lovely shop with excellent coffee and a takeaway service some evenings. Spacious pitches. Very peaceful, with a gently enforced quiet period from 10pm - 8am. Easy walk along a quiet footpath and across a park into Coleford. A lovely two hour walk (four hours return) through the forest to Simonds Yat.
Highly recommended.
