Unpowered grass motorhome site
Liked Lots of room, well spaced pitches, no excessive noise, everyone seemed . There was a lovely atmosphere as there is a section near the shop/reception/pizza shop where anyone could take their mini bbq or gas cooker and all cook in a kind of communal way. The showers were great. Don't be put off by the fact that the toilets are composting toilets. They were kept immaculately clean. The pizzas were delicious and very reasonably priced. We were greeted on arrival by 'Stumpy' the site owner who was so friendly and helpful, he and the team seem to be everywhere, making pizzas and selling all the hot and cold drinks. The site is only open for 28 days in a year so keep a lookout for the available dates (May BHs and August weekends)
Disliked The only thing that we were a bit disappointed with was that there aren't any dog walks into the forest direct from the site. We talked about it with Stumpy and he's tried to get access to the adjacent forest land but has so far been unsuccessful.

Pub Car Park unpowered concrete slab caravan site
Liked Very friendly team in the pub. The food was delicious (amazing fillet steak). Shower and toilets were clean and, best of all, warm (it being December). The car park was very busy with campers when we arrived and seemed a bit tight but it turned out that a lot had stayed for NYE. After they went it was very quiet.

Liked Being in the middle of the forest amongst the trees and feeling close to nature. Just like wild camping but with the extra benefit of water and water being available. No other facilities but that’s exactly what we wanted.

Liked Nice flat pitches. Plenty of space. The host is very friendly and full of helpful information. The site is nicely placed for long walks in the Malverns, very little else around so if you want a peaceful break away from the hustle and bustle, this is the place. The Farmers arms pub is a short walk away and seems a lovely place.

Liked The grandchildren loved feeding the goats and watching the geese wandering around with their baby goslings.
The amenities were clean and seemed plenty of facilities.

Liked Really nice campsite, level pitches. Pitches are nicely spaced with hedging that gives privacy but you don't feel too cut off from others. We were there during the latter stages of lockdown so showers and toilet blocks were not allowed to open. However, the pub alongside had toilets available during the day. It also had a very nice garden food menu which was reasonably priced and very tasty. The manageress seemed really nice too.

From the manager: Thank you for your review. I'm so glad that you enjoyed your stay with us. Both the pub and shower block should be able to open soon, so we'll be able to resume business as usual!
