Just beutiful

Aug 2026

Liked Everything, Little gem tucked away, I unfortunately can't remember the couple names I met but they was lovely, also straight to the point which I love. Only 5 pitches which is what I needed after being in a mad tourist spot in New forest just beforehand, was nice and quiet in coalbeck, Toilets/ablutions and site location very clean and beautiful, We was made to feel welcome the minute we got there, they found space for our tow car, nothing wasn't too much. Views are amazing and the nature nearby is just another luxury. This is the best site I've been to in the lakes and maybe even England, If there was Ben Nevis staring at me it would have been number one for me and the wife. Get your own toilet, the one massive shower is plenty for the 5 spots. It's a shame the site isn't open all year round but I know the reason behind this, I'd happily pay the extra to stay over winter. WiFi does the job, enough to keep kids quiet

Disliked Nothing

Amazing, pricey but beautiful

Sept 2025

Liked Best campsite I've been to, location clearly helps, has everything to keep you ticking over and no reason to go to town because this is a well maintained and self sufficient site, Views (unquestionable) Facilties (loads and clean) Staff (brilliantly polite) Food (tasty but pricey) Shop (everything you need) Location (perfect) WiFi (wasn't too bad) All good and will be back

Disliked I paid for a enhanced spot you could say, where I had water pipe availability, But view is blocked with trees, I wouldn't normally moan because I had rear view of glen nevis but I came for ben nevis and you couldn't see it, the other spots which cost less had a perfect view of ben nevis, Still beautiful but I wish I saved 40 quid and took a less luxury spot to have a better view, Shop clearly very pricey, BUT they have that zero Loch lomand Ale, cancels that moan out lol, We struggled to find any local buses nearby but not 100% sure if that was just us,

Jun 2025

Liked Second visit Views for me make it worth it Walks nearby and despite being a small village there's plenty to eat and drink, Didn't use WiFi Facilities clean and tidy, If there are groups of bikers they can get busy and the pubs so be aware

Disliked All good in my opinion

I'd go again happily but not using the bar.

May 2025

Liked Entertainment on the evening was very good Saturday night, Bingo was OK but didn't realise we was competing against all sites, Lovely walks around the site, pond with all the nature and old as s**t trees made it a lovely spot. Staff where chilled and lovely, was 2 younger staff members. Close to moffat and motorway, Views are good beyond the site,

Disliked The road on the site is terrible, pot holes everywhere and especially when you come in. Booze at the bar is pricey. Toilets smelt shockingly bad (males). Our spot was cramped and tents cramped either side from others campers (we all agreed), I booked for hard standing, especially when there was loads of other empty spots. The pond is beutiful and you can fish it, site could utilise that pond for small boats for kids or put actual fish in it,

I'll be bak (as Arnie said)

Sept 2024

Liked Lovely location, you actually have a view and not hidden like some locations, cafe is cute and Staff are lovely, gets busy on Saturdays be aware, dent it's self has few nice pubs and food spots, it's just nice and not too busy like Hawes. Showers are 50 pence for 10 mins which is nothing and there decent too, toilets very clean and different. Hard standing pitch loads of room and eletric hook ups aren't to far away. WiFi was ok Just a very cute and lovely place, Roads can be challenging for inexperienced drivers, Sedbergh it's 10 min drive and again lovely town. This is my new fav place as ma wee scotland is overrun now.

Disliked Buggy cart cutting abut at 8am wasnt my thing but was just me wanting a late start,

Top site, everything you need

Aug 2024

Liked Everything, this place has always been a joy to go to, Staff are lovely, toilets are always clean and plentiful Male showers always has hot water Ladies doesnt because mainly some of the people are selfish and spend half hour in a shower, nothing the site can do about it? But as ever thank u,

Disliked Nothing, just perfect

Peaceful and not remote.

May 2024

Liked Firstly staff where very polite and welcoming. We parked in the wrong place which wasn't for touring but we did move next day. Staff where understanding. Touring pitches are good. Ablutions are very clean and showers are brilliant. Warm inside and plenty of hot water. It's nice a peaceful. Peebles is lovely and 0.8 mile walk which took us 15 minutes. Its a nice walk. Also takeaway bring you food straight to the entrance.

Disliked For the blind like me lol. Bigger sign maybe to stop people pitching up where they shouldn't tho this was all my fault.

Our second visit, kids love it there so yeah we will he bak

Aug 2022

Liked Locations is amazing Good kids park Ablutions very large Clean Good wee burger/breakfast van No over crowded Good lay out Staff friendly

Disliked No WiFi and if there is we couldn't find it. Shop non existent, need a decent wee shop. Washing facilties broke wen I went there but looked for staff which weren't available due to cleaning ablutions which are closed from 12 till 2pm, I found the ground solid to get pegs in for our awning tent, (small.matter for me to buy decent pegs next time) second visit same issue, But despite this, views make up for it
