Liked: Well stocked shop, lovely clean site and facilities. Friendly staff who could recommend which local mountains were suitable for a 6 year old (Settled on Buckbarrow). Close walking distance to 2 lovely pubs. Well kept park for the kids.
Disliked: Absolutely nothing

Liked: Friendly welcome and helpful information about walks in the area on a tricky weather day. Really nice shop - lovely ice-cream, drinks - not just your usual camping shop. Site has a variety of pitches and so caters for all types of campers from those in little tents, to campervans, pods and static vans but still has a nice feel of a small site. Beautiful views of the mountains. Good amount of facilities and always clean.

Liked: Great hot showers which were very much needed on the storm we had! Decent size pitches and very friendly staff!

Liked: This place is hard to beat, it's like a dream.
So well organized and maintained, really incredible.
Beautiful views and the Lake nearby is unforgettable.Disliked: The only thing I disliked , was the road to get there, a bit tricky and only space for a car in a 2 way road in many places, and you get trucks, and drivers coming in the opposite direction like they were in the highway. :o
Obviously this has nothing to do with the lovely campsite in question, but this makes it difficult to get there.

Liked: The site is very well organised, friendly and has most things a camper would want; freezers, fresh croissants, clean toilets, well stocked shop, nearby pubs and cafes.
Disliked: Our pitch had a big hole on the centre which made positioning our tent difficult, we did our best but when it rained the muddy puddle water ran into the porch.
The play area shut at 9:30pm but every night children were playing loudly until 10:30/11pm
Sorry to hear that the previous occupent had caused damage to the pitch and we weren't able to fix the issue before you checked in and had pitched. If you had let us know before pitching your tent, we would have repaired the area so you were able to better pitch your tent. We also patrol and make sure that the childrens playarea and football field are clear of children, but we don't stop them playing at their own tents. IF you had let us know that there was considerable noise on site we would have been happy to have dealt with the issue while you were on site.
