Lovely, peaceful, and well-kept campsite in scenic countryside. Owners are consistently praised for being friendly, helpful, and dedicated. Facilities are spotless. Guests love the calm vibe, plenty of space, and the bar/shop. Some minor shower bracket/floor tile snags in Sept '26, but overwhelmingly positive, with many wanting to extend stays.

Liked Beautiful location.
Friendly and very helpful staff

Disliked Washing machine is a little on the small size.
Two of the female showers heads could not be hung on the wall due to the brackets being broken - so effectively you had to hold the shower.
The slates on the floor outside the shower/toilets are very loose

Liked Lovely couple running the site, great service with a cafe available most of the day. Great coffee and nice food. The facilities to wash/toilet/ laundry etc are cleaned and always enough to go around. Location is lovely and scenic.

Disliked Seems to be beside an area where teens come to hang out between hours of 1-3am so our 3 night stay didn’t result in much sleep. Not the camp sites fault but may be an issue for those in a tent or whose kids are light sleepers.

Liked What a wonderful site. We were welcomed by Dani and Monica to their little piece of paradise. If you want to get back to nature and relax then this is the site for you.
Everything was right. Spotlessly clean, friendly and a bar and shop on site. Perfect for walks and cycling in a beautiful and remote part of Spain. I wish we'd stayed longer...we'll be back.

Liked What a beautiful peaceful campsite. Everywhere very well kept and close to a charming little village with a small hotel and pub..there was also a pub and shop onside.
The campsite is in a lovely setting in the mountains and I would have loved to stay there for a few more nights but we had to stick to our travel plans

Disliked It's a long drive over the hills for just the one night stay but we'll worth it

Local attractions

The area's biosphere reserve provides many an option for outdoorsy days, with a tiptop pick for the region being hikes along routes around the surrounding walnut-wooded foothills. Ambling around nature trails and keeping peepers peeled for wildlife is the next: look out for region’s wild grouse (aka urogallo). Mountain biking is also popular around here: several lengthy trails lie around the local village for adrenalised pedals, such as Los Ancares Leoneses, Circular Desde Candín and Desafío Ancares Copa Límite Bierzo; ask the site’s friendly owners for details of where you can join the routes. After all that hiking and mountain biking, you’ll likely need to cool off; handily, a leisure centre is nearby with a roomy outdoor pool for cooling dips, or if instead you’re feeling active, its outdoor sports area is where you can expend extra energy. Once ready to head back to base, it’s well worth having a wander around the local village to spy its pristinely preserved ancient dwellings, namely thatched spherical pallozas, to get a feel for the region’s culture and heritage.
